Re: Ask the person below you a question
Funny how it has changed over time: As a kid it was getting presents. As a teen it was getting some nicer clothes. There was a couple years it was Christmas Eve mass believe it or not. There there was the sitting up late at night either putting toys together and playing with them - excuse was you had to make sure things were working and put all the batteries in stuff... Had nothing to do with having a couple of beers while doing it anticipating the morning. TBH currently <- working on that one. So with that I guess you also have my least ATM.

Re: Ask the person below you a question
Favorite thing about Christmas... Ummm... The smell when I wake up because my mom always cooks a big breakfast....
The least thing I like about it is the traveling I have to do, since my parents are divorced I have two Xmases, and my dad lives an hour away from me... So the drive is annoying...

My favourite thing about Christmas is that I don't have to celebrate it (i.e., spend money).
My least favourite thing about Christmas is that I don't celebrate it (i.e., only one holiday, no celebrations etc).
Do you think we'll play popularite this year? Is MattyK (hope I'm spelling it right) active?

I'm not sure what that is. But Brendon did say recently he plans on doing the GFO awards next month.
Why do you have the screen name/ avatar that you have? Any meaning behind it?

Re: Ask the person below you a question
Subra means several things to me; it's the name of the first character in CF's Powr Mastrs, a graphic novel I read when I was first discovering alternative comics. It turns out that it's also the name of the star that makes the front paw in the constellation Leo, which is my mother's and boyfriend's astrological sign.
My avatar has changed as of this week. It's an illustration by my favourite artist Leon Sadler. They sent me a key-chain they designed 6 years ago, which was hand-drawn and signed.

Bet you weren't expecting that, huh? For extra points, my signature is from this:

Mine expresses a duality to my personality. While I'm a pretty chill person for the most part, push/prod/poke/antagonize me enough and that other side shines through pretty strong.
MX is for Motocross. The number 1 is reserved for the champion from the prior season in motocross. Everyone is gunning for the Number One Plate.

Re: Ask the person below you a question
The short answer is that 'J' is my first initial, and I call my social media sphere the "Jzone." There's actually more to it, and that might be the answer to another question.
My avatar is from a magazine ad, I forget what it was advertising. It represents that to me a well-maintained intellect is at least as attractive as a well-maintained body. It also hints at a good sense of humor.
For the bonus round, my signature is from a Joan Armatrading song.
I'm feeling lazy today. Same question:

Re: Ask the person below you a question
Victor laszlo is a character from the movie Casablanca. He's not the main character. And we actually don't learn much about him. Just that he is one of the main leaders of the resistance of the growing Nazi party.
His character is almost placed on a pedestal for being a good person. It's clear that if given the option of his own freedom of someone else's he would choose there freedom. Even offering his wife to another man to guarantee her freedom. ( they end up making it to America together. But he would've let her go if it came to it. )
Ever since I've seen the movie I liked his character. I like that he is very. Self-less and never acts like a hero. Its a very honest and caring character.
If you guys ( and girls
) have never seen the movie Casablanca I'd really recommend it. Some of the old classics don't hold up
( uhh,hhmmm Citizen Kane
) but Casablanca is a really good one that's well worth watching. Even if your not into the b/w classics.
My avatar is just a picture of the character Victor laszlo.
To sum it up It's a character that i and most people could only strive to be.
I guess same question.

I've been wanting to ask this question as it's own thread for awhile now. I like hearing why people picked what they did. But it doesn't seem possible from a mobile connection. If one of you guys could do it that'd be awesome.

Re: Ask the person below you a question
It’s an extremely old moniker that has been on the net for about 2 decades now. Had since high school.
Xrayspex is for the English punk group X-Ray Spex. The 78 is for the fact they never had a 78RPM record. Couldn’t have only xrayspex so I had to put a number and that’s why I chose it.
Over the last two decades it has taken on its own persona I think. It’s like this quirky, weird and unusual name you see. Right? You have no idea how to take what it says.
The same question. I am curious also.

I just have to say (as a landlord) that all renters are wankers. I didn't expect (or ask) to be a land owner or landlord. In the time that I have been, however (now 10+ years), I have only had one renter who has stood out. Every month when she paid rent, it arrived with a six-pack of fine micro-brew beer. For the additional expense of $10, she showed some appreciation for me keeping a dry roof over her head, the utilities paid, the road maintained, and an open ear.
Too many landlords are douchebags, I won't argue that. If you have one that acknowledges you as a human, and promptly responds to legitimate issues -- then smother them with appreciation.

Re: Ask the person below you a question
my screen name and avatar are different reasons for having them. erti has been an internet name i used over the years and made up back in 2002 when joining a website called tvtome. eventually it stuck and i use it everywhere. my avatar is the fox god from the jpop metal band called babymetal. i love them so much and their music makes me happy. i'm a total fangirl.
question:
do you want a family with kids? why or why not?

Re: Ask the person below you a question
Kind of unfair of me to answer after the fact but I want to play.
The why I didn't want kids. Because I seen some of the pain they can cause someone to go through. I watch my parents deal with some rather difficult situations with 2 of their five sons (including me).
Why: I finally got over the above. I still look at the time raising the kids as the best years of my life. I think that is good enough.
Sorry to do this repeatedly but passing it along for someone else to answer. Same question.

Good god, no. It would be such a waste of homosexuality to insist on having them.

Walking with my boyfriend in Manchester, he thinks he saw Lily Cole about 4 feet in front of us coming out of a shop. I didn't get a proper look so I just said "oh ok cool".

Definitely teeth. 6 inch fingernails would get in the way of everything!
Big teeth that keep my mouth open and drool constantly can easily be remedied with an absorbant bib. Also, some furry might be into that and I'd get laid.
