I haven't seen too many gay films tbh so I'll definitely have a gander at some of these

Can I ask, which ones strictly feature ADULT gay storylines? I don't necessarily mean sexually explicit, I mean with adult 20+ men who aren't going through some teen coming-of-age angst, or not promoting pederasty between some teen twink and a creepy older dude. (I said what I said, don't be butthurt now).

I want gay storylines with adult characters, at this point in my life.

I enjoyed Fourth Man Out (2015). It’s a coming out story, but it’s an older guy with a bunch of guy friends.

Nice! I'll definitely be watching that.

In my opinion Beach Rats was only watchable because of the shirtless guy(s). Crappy acting and pretty much no storyline. And even that story doesn't have an ending. I guess they just couldn't be arsed to write one. The premise of this movie is basically... "here is a cute shirtless guy. He has issues. Bye".

Fair enough. It's a bit self-consciously artsy and meditative, though I think you're being hard on it, especially the acting. I think the lead did a great job in particular. It has sort of a European art-house quality to it, so the plot isn't the main thing here (nor a pat Hollywood ending) — it's more of a languorous exploration of sexual identity and masculine posturing, framed by striking cinematography. But I can see how some would find it dull. It does have a 78 on Metacritic (with a 90 score from The New York Times, along with some mixed reviews), so those into that kind of cinema (with the bonus of shirtless guys) might want to check it out.

I don't think it's artsy at all. I think it tries to be artsy and fails miserably. I've seen quite a lot of artsy indie movies from all over the world that don't really have an ending or a beginning for that matter. This isn't one of them. This looks like a cheap knock-off of a cheap indie movie.

Pride - from 2014 is pretty solid. Good cast, true story, with nods to the AIDs crisis happening at the same time. If you get round to watching it, there's a scene at the end when they do the little "what happened to who" bit where they have the actual people depicted in the film (well the ones still alive at any rate) walking behind the stars. Nice wholesome English film.

The Normal Heart - also from 2014 - is very good, hard to watch at times, but very good.

All the movie's I've mentioned are Adult themed. I don't really like the coming of age love stories. Some like boys don't cry are definitely not meant for kid's.

I found this list ..

I haven't seen most of them but im sure there's some good ones on it. :)

Free Fall and Latter Days are amongst my favourite ones to watch. Dante's Cove is another one.
If you're also looking for some short episodes that has full-frontal nudity, there's Hunting Season.
