Gay gardening- a good idea?

Indeed. Remember a lot of the people you'd be seeking would be perverts. Many wouldn't risk prison but
T there are a few that may. Even if it doesn't come to that you would face harrassment--specially by clientele you inform of the service and are mistaken of.

I thought this to but didnt say anything.

Thank god, I thought I sounded like an idiot, lol.

Landscape gardening. So that's all the general maintenance tasks like weeding, mowing, planting, deadheading pruning, edging, hedge cutting, into more project based things like ponds, total renovations, fencing, trellis, patios, decking etc.

I suppose it would be maintenance only for the idea I'm throwing around here.

That's a great point and the first thing that I thought people would bring up as the main problem. I'm trying to think of a foolproof way to ensure everyone is happy and safe! The mistaken part is something I'd really have to hash out with them. What's acceptable and what isn't etc.

Thanks for your input here, I wasn't expecting this level of engagement from everyone :)

It is and we are a community. :) There is no fool proof way to plan any of your current desires. it's a risk that even strippers and escorts must take. The difference is that your current job does not have the expectation of putting yourself out there to make tips.

Eh, I think that really depends on where you live. If his region is safe and gay-friendly that's a non-issue. And if it really was so prevalent, prostitutes would have no way of making money. From what I've heard of Brazilian sex workers (it's legal here), it's really rare to get bad clients if you do it responsibly.

As for "what is a professional gardener," lol I don't really understand that question. I think all those things that involve gardens and landscaping are what "gardeners" are responsible of maintaining here in Brazil.

Among all of these kinds of jobs (electrician, plumber, gardener, etc.) here, gardeners probably are the ones that make the most money. Their uniform is cute, but they rarely are cute themselves. I'd love it if the gardeners in my building were a little nicer looking and did everything in their underwear

Ok, that was one of the biggest hurdles when thinking about this. Alot of landscaping would be unsafe trying to do in your underwear. Lol. I'd hate for someone to get injured for just a few dollars. I'll look forward to some updates. :3

Im really surprised to read that. Its insane how different things can be in different parts of the world. Landscaping is considered a laborer job around here and dont make very much at all. Where electricians and plumbers are pretty well paying jobs and considered a skilled trade. They arent even on the same level as far as pay scale goes.

I would definitely pay something for an attractive young gardener in a thong.

During our dictatorship, there was a recession and a lot of qualified jobs were left unattended because the brains of the country left to better pastures. Lots of people who were graduated simply couldn't stand the state of affairs anymore, and the ones that stayed were often imprisoned. Due to that, the government made an effort to qualify the disqualified mass. They created two institutes (still big, strong and alive today) that would teach all the technical professions free of cost so that these professions could keep churning on, and so that people would be employed, and so that they knew what they were doing.

There were two results: one positive, one negative. People did get qualified, they became self-employed and they began working. But there were so many of them that the cost of their labor went down. They reached the class of maids, garbage collectors, and telemarketers. All of those jobs give you the same return in Brazil. Gardeners (or landscapers heheh) included. But they do make more money because a garden isn't really something any average Brazilian has the privilege to have.

Sorry, but you're an idiot. I expect my goddamn gardener to wear pants. If you're gonna be a callboy, just drop the pretense.
