Happy new year everyone!

I suppose mine is to lose about 10 or 11 kg. :P
That should be doable for me in a year by sticking to about 1670 kcal/day, or in 6 months at about 1440 kcal/day.

I managed to lose my glasses today. So my main New Years resolution so far is to get new glasses.

I’m a big fan of setting achievable goals. I don’t wanna stretch myself.

Would like to lose 5kg as well but if I manage to gain some muscle it's fine for the weight to stay the way it is.

I plan on taking a break from dating for a while and working on myself and my career. I'd like to save some money and travel more since I have the opportunity to work from home.

I also hope to become closer to my friends and have more patience with my family. That will be the toughest part.

Other than that, I just hope I have more happy moments rather than enduring what we were dealt these past two years.

My goal is to get my bmi below 25.0 which is about 140 lbs or below for my hight. I hate to make it my New Years resolution because it may jinx me from my current progress of weight loss. I want to make steps to a better mental health… which means I will take my meds as prescribed and get a counselor because mine went to a different agency.

So. Glasses were located. Resolution had to be reassessed.

Guess I’m stuck with the choice of gaining or losing 60lbs. If I lose it, I’ll be at 105lbs and that’s probs dangerously low for me. So I guess here I come, 225lbs.

Is sharing not counter-productive? I think we’ll get ourselves ostracised by the community for something like that.

Not sure if it's an age thing or just my inner loner, but some years back I resolved to stop making New Years resolutions. I don't need to be part of the crowd and frankly, anything worth doing is worth doing right now - not because of some silly 'tradition' that is strongly tied to the farcical ways so many good intentions bite the dust of reality.

So that's my way of saying make 2022 better for you by freeing yourself from social convention! Anyway, here's hoping the year is better, healthier, and more prosperous for all!

Resolving not to make resolutions is a resolution. You’re stuck in a logic loop. You need to get out. Wanna resolve to gain 60lbs? It’s the new ‘in’ thing. Derek has set a trend.

Milkshakes are full of calcium and vitamin D. From the milk and presumably real ice cream. If you two really want to get fat have candy eating contests! No nutritional value at all and the sugar turns to fat very easily.

To go on a date! I've never been on one. Like, a proper one. It's feeling all a bit incel at 24 :runaway:

Happy New Year to you all!

Have you considered contacts? I think that's another thing I need to get sorted. I'm meant to wear glasses as my eyesight has deteriorated, but I went through about six/seven prescription pairs last year by breaking/losing them and I really hate how I look in them. I'm hoping I can get accustomed to contacts as I spent an obscene amount of money on breaking glasses last year.

Nah, I went through a period of a few years of wearing contacts. I’ve decided I prefer glasses. I think I suit them more, though that may just be because I’m so used to seeing myself in them. I think they frame my face a bit. I’m usually pretty good with them, I think I’ve only ever broken one pair and this is the closest I’ve come to losing a pair.
