Has Therapy Counseling Coaching Worked For You? And Being One
My apologies! That other part was supposed to be "Or Become One (As a Professional)"
I thought that this would be a great discussion on how different practices, such as therapy, counseling, coaching, and psychology have worked in our lives. Coaching and Counseling (of the 4 mentioned) I'm endeavoring to pursue while I work.
"Talk Therapy," or psychotherapy is one thing that been helping me edify my life. It's also helping me to accept and love myself even more. I'm also someone who enjoys mindfulness, which is a way of life. And that means knowing yourself and to know yourself you learn to love yourself and as you love yourself you love others.
I'm learning to overcome fears and obstacles I never thought about. For example, just today I saw a course on CBT for long-distance driving. I never drove long distances by myself. It's always been quite local. However, I didn't realize it was a fear I had with big cities, with "spaghetti-like" roads (i.e. as I call them). So, it wasn't just long distances, it was bigger cities I had fears of driving through.
I've been learning that the more I drive, the more confidence that builds. It's just like stage fright for most singers that start out. The more they practice, the more comfortable they will get.
So, in short, what kind of mental health or wellness program has helped you in your life? Who aspires to help others (i.e. other than me)?

Re: Has Therapy Counseling Coaching Worked For You? And Being One
For me, knowing what I've been through, I want to passionately help people not have to go through what I've went through. I almost had to be locked up because my mental illness was getting progressively worse. That's how bad it got for me.
I don't want anyone to have to experience that, which is why I am constantly learning about what makes a person truly happy. I want to reach as many people as possible cause the world needs love. We need to know that there are people out there who can and WILL help us. But we just need to know that we're loved and that love is our most powerful weapon against any bad thing that shows up in our current time-space reality.

Here's an example of the Universe trying to tell you that you need healing in an area of your life:
Someone who struggles with showing emotion. This person, in their lifetime, will constantly struggle with this, and that is because, they choose to ignore or disregard the fact that they have trouble showing emotion. Most people will ignore this issue, and will continue to fracture themselves. And this goes with pretty much any problem that happens in your life that is recurring. Don't pass up an opportunity to make you "whole" again.

I'm so glad you got better!
It's excellent you were open enough to want to improve yourself and your condition.
And yes, if I were to clarify that kind of love, it would be compassionate towards all beings. In other words, accepting each other as we are, whether poor, or rich, Finnish or Afghanistan, LGBT+ or straight, etc.
