Is it what I think it is?

First, I am so blind when it comes to recognizing if a guy is into me. Second, I tend to read into things and drive myself crazy.

So here goes.... I have known a guy for many, many years. I was recently on vacation and through Facebook he knew that I would also be in the area I grew up (same town as him) we talk regularly via FB and texting and call here and there. We mad plans for us to meet up and hang out. No plans, just wing it. The day came and it was GREAT! First time we have physically seen each other in many years. We had a great time!

He laughed and smiled a lot. He did not look at his phone a lot. He took a picture of the two of us together and immediately posted it to Facebook and tagged me. Said "A day of smiles with this man" later he took a pic of us at the movies and tagged me...

When he left my hotel (No funny business. We just met there to ride in one car) anyway, he hugged my bye, kissed me on the cheek and then I walked him out to his truck. Once we got to his truck, he hugged me again and then a quick kiss on the lips. WOW! I remembered he left something in my car so I went to get it. He rolled down his window, got what I handed to him and then he leaned his head out and kissed me quick on the lips again... WOW!!!!

Once he got home, he let me know he made it safely. In a text he said "I had a good time. I cant remember the last time I smiled and laughed that much. Im glad it was with you" Awwweeee!!!!!

He has mentioned that he wants to make more plans together. A good friend of his called him to ask about me because of the FB posts... He said "We are just friends.. I mean, at least for now"

The day after we hung out, he did text me good morning. And a goodnight text last night. He did call last night while he was cooking.. Not heard from him today but he does work outdoors in construction so I am sure he has been busy.

So - Hep me out! Am I reading into this way too much? Does he like me more than a friend but is taking it slow? Or, am i just making this up in my head?

It sounds like he's totally into you. If your quotes are verbatim, he's been heavily hinting that he sees you as potentially much more than a friend. And at the very very very least, he absolutely cannot blame you for getting that impression.

Reciprocate. Take the initiative to kiss him on the lips too and all that stuff. Keep seeing him. See where it goes.

And keep us updated!! I wanna know where this leads too.

I don't think you're reading too much into it, you're wasting time. Call him and ask him out for another date, then make sure it's not just on the lips this time.

So here's an update.... We hung out over the weekend. Saturday it was with his best friend and Sunday it was with his mom, brother and sister in law... His mom really liked me. Last night he said in a text that he really wished I lived closer abut will make lemonade out of lemons for now. I am not that far, about 2 hours. He said he like us hanging out because he can be silly and not judged... and again, both Saturday and Sunday he kissed me on the lips as he hugged me bye..
