This thread has gotten so stupid I feel like both sides are trolling the other without realizing it.

I normally only use my happy sensitive side on this board, but now you get my sociopathic sometimes sadistic side to weigh in.

I live to play the game of life which is survive long enough to have offspring and raise them well enough that they can successfully have offspring themselves. Any further success or enjoyment is bonus points.
It’s also a competition with other humans, not everyone can win and there is no participation medal.
Anyone who doesn’t want to reproduce is just a spectator which is totally fine by me, especially if you have a serious genetic issue that you don’t want to risk passing on.
If the world gets too full either technology or conflict over limited resources will solve the problem, I’m fine with either. I actually see signs that humans might have lemming programming built in where they just lose the desire to reproduce when things get too packed. Interesting concept.
Struggle is fun, without pain there is no point in playing, nothing is at stake. Pleasure and happiness is the reward for playing the game well.
I truly don’t give a shit if someone regrets being born, its an easy enough problem for them to solve themselves. You can quit at any time.

Concerning religion and morality getting dragged into this (always a terrible idea),
Under the assumption that god exists and everything was created by this being:
1. God created time (ironically science proved that), therefore god exists in all of time or any point in time simultaneously, and has complete control over it. thus essentially god knows what will happen before it happens and can make changes at any time.
2. God is all knowing and can process an infinite amount of data at the same time.
3. God is all powerful, nothing is beyond his power and everything he does turns out exactly as intended. (Thus perfect).

When you add these all up you get a creator that knows everything his creation will ever do BEFORE he even creates them. That makes free will impossible. If god didn’t like a decision someone was going to make, he would have created them differently.
He knew what you were going to decide to have for lunch before he even created the universe, if he didn’t like your choice he would have created the things that influence your decisions in a different way
You are exactly as your god intended you to be.
That pretty much negates genesis as just another creation story made up by clueless primitives since god couldn’t very well blame Adam and Eve for doing exactly what he intended them to do. and if the foundation is rotten who cares what got built on top of it. The Bible requires that you believe all of it is divinely inspired and written exactly as intended or the whole things falls apart, so if any part is disproved, all of it is potentially false.
Interestingly this doesn’t disprove god itself, just the beliefs of pretty much all religions spawned from Abraham.
If god exists, it is not the god you were taught about.

There are really only two rule sets that were made that can be verified:
1. The laws of physics which defined how everything functions in any state of matter or energy.
2. The Laws of nature which govern how living creatures behave and defines what they must do if they want to live long enough to reproduce.

I thought this was embarrassing even before I checked your age. Jesus.
