Love-Hate Relationship with a Teacher

Hi. So I have this research module with this teacher who's a hairy dilf. I've always been a good student so I always paid attention, be the first one to volunteer asking questions, helped distributing paper in class, and be obedient in one-on-one tutorials.

Yet, soon I realized he's incompetent and selfish. He gave wrong format of the essay, contradictory advices and vague answers to everything we ask. It's like as if he's scared of saying anything wrong, or he knows nothing about teaching, or both. Poorly-made PowerPoints, handbook, harsh yet dodgy assignment markings revealed his work ethics.

So, I went to him and asked him about the problems politely. Yet, he denied all responsibilities and said it's my fault. Then he contacted student wellbeing and attempted to label me as mentally unstable. I told him I want to appeal my essay which he gave nonsense comments but then he locked me in his office and pressurized me for an hour not to appeal. He also stopped replying all of my emails, ignored me in class and blocked my Facebook. Because I'm so serious of my studies, I remember all of his faults and wrote a formal compliant against him.

I couldn't accept the fact that he's not the perfect, loving daddy-teacher I thought, but an incapable, egoistic scallywag. Then, I seeked help from my course leader and department head, then they told me they'll help me. The next day I got a letter of four accusations towards me; the staffs I seeked help from were all involved, of course, including that teacher. Those allegations included fake ones that I didn't even do; attempting to touch him and 'trolling' him on Facebook. I asked a bigger department head to switch to another class but he just dodged my questions. I don't want my score to be treated unfairly by him, but at the same time it's a horrible way to end this teacher-student relationship.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to have to attend that teacher's class again, and I'm the first one to present. It'll be very awkward and I have a lot of mixed feelings. I want to tell him how I truly feel [disappointed at him because I thought he's so perfect] but at the same time he'll probably twist anything I say or do into an accusation to get me into trouble. But, if I don't have a heart-to-heart talk with him, every lesson will be torture, not to mention individual tutorials...

What should I do?

This is a difficult situation. I suggest you stop all contact with the problem teacher, except what is necessary for class. Document every interaction you have with him with notes, witnesses, texts, and emails. Do not tell him how you truly feel. Keep your interactions with him limited to a very formal teacher/student relationship. Continue to appeal any complaint against you. Make this difficult for him and anyone who defends him. Let them know you will not give up easily. Authority is no excuse for abuse.

I can't appeal against complaints on recording his threat without consent and saying I want to change teacher by complaining (damaging his reputation). I can appeal for my score but it's also possible that they revenge and give me an even lower score.

Document everything from here on out. Recording the classes and your time together might be wise as well.

Can't record without consent though; might get another warning

You may still be allowed to record stuff for personal use, like as a memory support, for example to later use to write up a transcript that you can then certify is absolutely accurate if it comes up in some kind of proceeding. I think that's what it's like where I live but it's been a while since I looked into it.

I actually use an app on my phone called The Third Ear which keeps a continuous, temporary recording of everything in the background and lets you "go back in time" within the retention period and retroactively record for example the last hour, so you don't need to ever press Record.
