I had Covid just before before xmas, had a bang sore head and really tired for 4 -5 days. Freedom day was boxing day, then my OH tested positive as well so another isolation until we both we clear. Mind you 3 weeks off work over xmas was a wee bonus.

I never got any Covid fun time. Never caught it and worked pretty much the whole way through. So disappointing.

Apart from having it then, we had to go into work all the way through it as well. It was a pain hearing friends and family saying they had built this at home or redecorated.

I've been able to avoid it so far, despite Brenden having had it. Always wearing FFP2 masks around other people, avoiding busy places, fully vaccinated, etc.

What about you?

Soon you’ll have to make a thread about monkey pox.

But yeah I got it last month and it sucked. :sadblue: I got almost all the symptoms. Do we know how long these variants give one immunity for?

Not looking forward to that. :runaway:

I would only count on 3 weeks. Reinfection is reportedly very common with the omicron variants unfortunately. I would not get any less careful if I'd had it.

The latest research (Guardian / Lancet) indicates that even years after recovery, patients are at increased risk of cognitive deficit ("brain fog"), epilepsy/seizures, and even psychotic illness and dementia. (Brenden questions this research though — he thinks the scientists are incompetent idiots and he knows much better. Hopefully he's right. :P)
