Quarterback with the Emerald Eyes

Unread postby kenzie_matt » 27 September 2019, 09:41

Just wondering if anyone else here has read "Quarterback with the Emerald Eyes" by David Courson? It started off as a story on Nifty, but he got the book published.
He started writing a sequel called "The Boy Who Cried Sapphire Tears". As far as I can tell, he only published up to chapter 17 on a different hosting site.
Does anyone know if he ever finished the story, and if so, where it can be found? I quite enjoyed the story as yes, it has sex, but there's an actual story to it that I found rather sweet.

I used to read some stuff on Nifty, but I admit they weren't of the best quality lol. Haven't heard of the book, unfortunately. I should probably start paying more attention to that stuff! heh

Anyway, Google is your friend... This website makes it seem like it should go up to Chapter 25, but it hasn't been published. All you can do is hope he gets back to it at some point. I hope this helps :)

Thanks Eryx. Yip, that was the platform I was referring to :) Hence I was only able to read up to chapter 17.
I agree, there's a lot of smut on Nifty and poor writing. I'm no prude, but I do prefer some substance. Are there specific genres you enjoy reading?
Do you perhaps know what the policy is on mentioning sites etc.? For example, there's another one that has stories, some from Nifty but they're better filtered so would be a better read.

It's all good to share stuff that is content, only self-advertising and spammy websites aren't encouraged. Even self-advertising is okay as long as it's pertaining to the context and adds to the conversation.

Personally, I enjoy mystery novels. I only used to read Nifty to get off. Still do, sometimes. So I don't really look for content anymore, in some cases I even skim through some of the irrelevant descriptive paragraphs to get to the good stuff. But I've seen some surprisingly well-written stuff there too.

Awesome, thanks! In that case, check out http://www.gayauthors.org. Can filter topics, length etc. So there's quality stuff, as well as stuff if you're looking to get off (aren't we all? :) ). I also enjoy mysteries. Throw in some forensics and you've definitely got my interest! Fantasy is also always a good read for me

I have read this several times and have it on e-book. As far as I know he has never finished it yet. He started writing a second one but has not posted in a really long time. Actually have the author as a friend on facebook.

I clicked on this thread hoping for pictures of a burly man with piercing green eyes and I have to say I'm a little disappointed :p

You should totally try to find out if he'll get back to it!

Totally agree! This is one of those stories that needs to be completed.
