Ah. I suspected that’s why I’ve been needing artificial tears as of late. :pfft:

I’m sorry to hear you got horrible (permanent?) side effects. :shake:

What kind do you use? I've been using cheap carbomer eye gel from eBay/Amazon, buying in bulk (10 or 20 tubes at a time) to get the lowest price per unit. Most recently I paid the equivalent of about $24 for 20 tubes of 10 g each, and these last a lot longer than regular eye drops.

I mean, I’ve been using Refresh Tears but I don’t know if that would be enough for what you’ve got. Especially since I’m still able to wear contacts. I recently went to the ophthalmologist who said my eyes were healthy.

I see that comes in bottles. The carbomer kind I use is actually a gel rather than drops — you squeeze it out of a tube. The drops never did much for me as they're not very thick and always evaporate or drain away pretty quickly.

I've been reading some interesting research and decided to try combining a few things to see if that helps more:

  • Acetylcysteine eye drops (just got them prescribed; they're not commonly used, but fortunately my new Scottish doctor is open to suggestions as he knows patients have sometimes researched things more than he has :awesome:)
  • Vitamin A eye drops / artificial tears
  • High-dose oral vitamin A supplement (2.4 mg or 8000 IU per day with a high-fat meal)
Fingers crossed. There are some more heavy-duty medications that would probably work, but those have scary side effects like possibly causing glaucoma :runaway:

What I've found works much better is pure cocoa butter. It's more expensive, but it feels much healthier and doesn't actively make your lips dry again as it wears off.

What ingredients are those? I rarely use lip balm since I don’t usually need it but my dermatologist use to gift me Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm.

I'm not sure exactly which, but I would guess it's some of the more difficult to pronounce stuff on the ingredients lists, e.g. the one for Nivea's "Original Caring Lip Balm":

Octyldodecanol, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Cera Alba, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Persea Gratissima Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Aqua, BHT, Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Aroma

The CortiBalm thingy might be better:

Beeswax, petroleum jelly, mineral oil, hydrocortisone

But of course that's very expensive. I'm surprised to see hydrocortisone on there, though, as that's a steroid which isn't suitable for long-term use because it can thin the skin as well as suppressing the immune system locally.

I feel like limonene and citronellol might be ones that ultimately cause more dryness.

Citronellol is irritating to insects and d-limonene is an outright insecticide. Limoniene is also a solvent for oils.

Why does one want citrusy notes in a lip balm anyway? They're supposed to be soothing, but citrus is associated with sharp sourness! Do anyone's lips feel nicer after encountering a lemon? :squint:

Hey guys. Just wanted to give you an update. Many things have changed since I made the last post, for instance, I'm no longer a virgin (will talk about this thoroughly in another thread)

So back to my problems:

1) My height has not been a problem in dating so far. I've found pretty many guys that are ok with my height, some even prefer that. I still feel bad though, when I stand next to women who are taller than me. It's like an attack to my manhood.

2) I got an ear job. I'm not 100% satisfied with the results, but I look much better now thanks to smaller earlobes. Planning to get another ear job. I wanted to have rhinoplasty as well, but sadly the doctor told me it's not possible.

3) I am still ashamed of my penis and try not to show it in hook ups, but honestly many tops are ok with it, since I have a nice butt which they mainly care about and for which I have received many compliments in every date.

4) I went to a new dermatologist and he said I don't have acnes, but bacterial pimples. He prescribed something to me. Ever since I started applying it, I'm not getting almost any whiteheads and very seldom pimples. But unfortunately redness is still there and I've been putting on make up to hide it. So far nobody has noticed that I'm wearing make up.

2 months ago I found out that there's a mental disorder called 'body dysmorphic disorder'. So I started thinking maybe I'm not that ugly and it's just something wrong in my head. Coz I have slept even with good looking guys and received compliments from them for my body. Also my pics have many likes and way above average on the app I've been using....Initially I used to be like 'your pics have many likes, because you found the right angle, that's not how you actually look and you look worse in person', but honestly almost every guy I've hookep up with looked different in person and most of the time worse than in the pics. So it's not only me that looks better in pics.....That doesn't mean I don't consider myself to be ugly anymore. I do. But I don't think I am distgustingly ugly as I used to think I was.

My new problem is I'm not enjoying sex and want to create a new thread in 'sex and sexuality' for this topic .

About the small penis problem - You know, you always can look down on those guys that have no penis (any longer) limp dick, or micropenis, and feel yourself pretty large in compare. ;)

--------------

I really would like to know where from the Quasimodo like folks get them good looking ones.
Especially where from they get good looking Twinks. :D

Body dysmorphic disorder may apply if your body is not dysmorphic, aye.

In Germany, Prof. Werner Mang at the Lake Constance Clinic is quite famous for nose jobs. If he doesn't find a solution, there would be none.

Self confidence isn't everyone's type. If one does look like Shrek or Chewbacca, won't help.
Face masks can help, and helmets / dark goggles.
If ya want to hang with me, let's go windsurfing!
