Thong swimwear on men

Unread postby Lolwink » 31 March 2020, 04:35

Hello forum.

I hope everyone's keeping well during the quarantine

I'm looking to go on holiday soon. Somewhere hot hopefully where I can get away from the rubbish weather in England once the lockdown lifts. :pfft:

I have a love of wearing minimal coverage underwear and swimwear, mainly thongs. I have bought many thong swimwear over the years. I secretly wore one on a holiday as a self sexy dare, but then got hooked in the freedom they provide. I take cheap breaks to spain so I can relax and work on my tanline.
I haven't got the greatest bod as I'm a little chubby. But I have a great butt for a dude which looks great in one. And I have resieved a couple of compliments from passer bys in some beaches.

However my curiosity has got bigger as I see more women wearing them so I want to ask a question to the forum. What do you think of men wearing thongs at beaches? Yes? or no? Picture a nice looking fit guy in one. Hot? or a little too much?

Let me know what you think! Also of any experiences you may of seen or wearing one
Open mindedness is appreciated!

Hey, welcome to the forum! You seem nice. Feel free to post an intro thread :awesome:

On-topic, I wish I could say something more positive and don't want to hurt your feelings, but if I'm honest, I find such skimpy styles of underwear and swimwear terribly off-putting, regardless of gender. Instant turn-off. Sorry!!

Funny that. I find thongs on women ridiculously hot as well as some men. Baffels me how more people don't find them appealing. Everyone loves a good butt. But I understand why people don't like them as they very revealing

I'm generally meh on them for men. On women, great, though. I had never thought about why this might be before now.

Though it's not something I've seen very often, so perhaps I just find it strange due to unfamiliarity. Judging from a quick Google image search, I could no doubt learn to love it. :P

For myself, I really don't have the body or the self assurance for it. Even imagining it is giving me anxiety...

I don't think I have ever seen a guy wearing a thong on a beach. Are they common on European beaches and do younger guys wear them?

They don't do it for me at all tbh unless I like the guy wearing them. Actually I think shorts are more sexy for some reason.

Anyway if being as nakey as possible is the goal, why not just go to a nudist beach?

I've never witnessed this either, and I agree, there's something about a guy in (board)shorts that really does it for me. :D

I'll add my approval to this sentiment. It's inexplicable but it just... works for me.

^^^this. I dont see many females wearing thongs on the beach either. And when I do its definitely a turn off. It's just not my thing on guys or girls.

I've actually seen some young guys in France, spain and especially greece during family holidays which originally inspired me to wear one, so I guess they are definitely more popular in Europe. I would Stare for a while and get jelous of how free they look compare to my baggy shorts. I've only seen one guy would wasn't built for a thong. But I don't mind.

I have thought about this. But I guess I like riding the lines between nude and almost nude and I like to stand out. Or I'm just a slight exhibitionist...

It really depends on how much someone likes the skimpy underwear and swimwear. I guarantee I would go head over heels girl or boy if I see them in a thong regardless of their body, it shows you can be sexy and have confidence to wear one. I love 'em

Thanks for your replies, forum! :thumbsupwink:
I am very interested in your responses!

I guess board shorts are everyone's chosen swimwear on a guy and skimpy styles are a turn off.
I ask one last question. Is it because of how masculine a pair of baggy shorts look on on a guy? Or is because thongs are made for women rather than men? Why are thongs a turn off?

It may indeed have something to do with it seeming like women's clothing, automatically leading to it seeming gross on a guy. I do like a masculine-looking guy, and anything like (board)shorts or boxers or boxer briefs will always look hotter to me than briefs or anything skimpier. I can't fully explain it, but to me, often a guy in shorts or boxers or boxer briefs looks hotter in some way than the same guy nude, even if I also love seeing him nude. But either will always be much better than wearing any style of skimpy underwear/swimwear.

Make of that what you will, I guess. :P

I would have thought them less than comfortable for those of the male disposition. There's generally just more going on down there, you know? :P

Meh, perhaps the feminine associations are a turn off. I wouldn’t have though that's the reason for me, since I'm pretty into gender bendy looks, but maybe.

I happen to see people in quite some swim wear styles, as I'm at the beach in non Corona quarantine times on a daily base, pretty well.
Yet all the women style stuff turns me off, to be honest. I like to look at guys wearing these:

https://lpviator.imgix.net/media/attrac ... =20&w=1200

Kite pants, kiteboarding shorts we call them. I like guys that wear them especially, if they have the kite gear to hang on to. Might be all the surfer dude affection, too. But then, I'm into gear attraction, the less clothing and gear, the less attractive, even if they were a super divine type of a rare ginger skinny twink. I would want them to dress up in shiny orca-brand wetsuits, now that could turn me on. Like him:

I like to see them in boxer shorts, basketball shorts, the soccer style. And Cargo Bermuda shorts, that reach just about over the knees.
Always wondered how come there's all these strange styles in gay outfits even. I mean if they hardly use any material and ask for the prices as they do, why don't they sell nudity in the first place?

I don't look at the girls a lot, they never catch my interest, except if they are surfing comrades and do some awesome wave tricks out on the water. I don't care for their clothes though.
If ya want to hang with me, let's go windsurfing!

Speedos are hot too. Actually speedos are very hot! Particularly on dudes that go running by the beach in them on hot days.

Like this guy

Isn't a guy in a thong pretty masculine/manly too? I mean thongs show off a lot of the male body.

I find women in shorts quite attractive as well. Sometimes women do modelling in shorts so seems straight guys must like it.

I am not attracted to all that might be considered masculine or manly anyway. There seems to me to be a few different masculine body types and I don't yet like them all.

Lolwink wrote:Why are thongs a turn off?

Its a thin bit of fabric wedged between a guys butt cheeks. Personally I would only find that hot if I found the guy attractive, otherwise I'd find it kind of gross.
