Today I learned about the rabbit god - the Chinese god of gay love and the world's only shrine to "homosexuals".

From Wiki:
Tu'er Shen (兔兒神), also known as the Rabbit God (兔神), is the Chinese Taoist matchmaker god for homosexual relations, and is the God of homosexual love. There used to be a temple dedicated to him in Southern China called the "Double Flowers Temple". The temple was destroyed by the Japanese military during World War II and no longer exists.[78] However, in the past decades, there have been revival attempts to worship him, particularly in Taiwan. In 2006, Lu Wei-ming founded a temple for Tu'er Shen in Yonghe District in New Taipei City.[79] About 9,000 gay pilgrims visit the temple each year for praying, particularly for a partner. The temple also performs marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples. It is the world's only religious shrine for homosexuals.

Why aren't we all worshiping the Rabbit God??

Today I have learnt that on this forum, making enough posts, being popular and having a shovel chin can make you a qualified therapist.

We don’t count your chin as a qualification here. I’d advise you remove it from your CV if you’re applying for the vacant therapist position.

I don't think anyone here claims to be a certified therapist. I also don't think it's strange that on a forum aimed at gay/bi people, there will be people seeking advice and others who have perhaps been in similar situations / struggled with similar problems willing to give it based on their own experience. I don't see how post count or whatever else figures into it. Anyone can ask questions or post answers. That's how forums work.

You two are cut from the same cloth.

Anyway, I learnt there is a correlation between human behaviour and the full moon, :english:

I don’t think anyone has ever said me and René are alike. I’m not sure you have the acuity to pursue therapy as a career. Would you perhaps like a trial, see how you get on?

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s always sad when a second opinion doesn’t go the way you’d hoped. My condolences.

In glass blowing, the aperture into the furnace in which the glass is blown is called the glory hole. Glass blowing is literally blowing a pipe through a glory hole.

Oh, come now, I think it's probably one of the most interesting shows in its genre!

Although I must admit the novelty wore off after the first season and I haven't been able to get into the second season at all.

I’m less saying that it’s bad within its genre and more that it’s genre represents the last stop before you’ve really collided with the bottom of the barrel and you’re watching that new reality show about rich Asians in LA.
