i see my therapist today and hope she can do something about this. maybe call my psych doc and get on different medications. I ended up in the emergency room the night before my birthday due to medication causing some uncomfortable side effects. luckily benadryl was all i needed and sent me on my way. I have lots to say to my therapist today. hope she doesn't send me to the psych hospital.

What happened at the Drs today??

she agreed that she thinks i'm manic and the fact that my medications made my neck kinda tight and hard to breath was scary and understands why i don't want to take my medications. since i have an appointment with my psych doctor this month we didn't try to get a sooner appointment. she basically wrote down my symptoms and worked on a relapse prevention paper. she wants me to write down my hallucinations and delusional thoughts that i've reality checked and see if they change due to the mood episodes.

Finished cleaning up my Facebook friends. Really Facebook represents more of a past life for me. Those "friends" really were not my friends but rather just people I associated with because of my kids and involvement in their lives. I guess it was to be expected but I disappeared from them 4 years ago and but a few even tried to reach out to me. So reality check was not only have no need to keep them on the friend list but rather prefer that they are not; so done and done. My Facebook account is my past life. My Instagram account is my current/future life. Like much in my life, just the way it worked out.

I didn't end up watching the grammys or Shameless. Maybe Shameless wasn't on last night though since the Grammys were on.

I'm fucking around on GuruGossiper - guys, it's so addictive. Sort or like this forum but where it's guys and gals and you're bitching about youtubers and other influencers.

I think we should start a "Gossip" section! It would totally take off.

EDIT: I know, no one would want that here but I still think it would be fun.

I’m relaxing right now. I had a nap earlier this evening because I was exhausted from work, which is why I’m pretty awake right now at 4am. I work tomorrow but not until 3pm.

Reading about how the Cheeto-in-Chief will declare a national emergency on an issue that was apparently not an emergency during the two years the Republicans controlled the House and the Senate. It’s almost as if he likes setting himself for failure.

FFS aren't we hoping he fails? If not impeachement then at least he not get re-elected. To me it's kind of a worst fear for what's to come. Anyone else worried he'll get re-elected for another term or am I just being paranoid? Are the US citizens that dumb...

I'm not sure when it changed for me. Some time ago I think.

Ok, so here's something I'm wondering about your view point: once my generation clears out (so to speak) do you think it will get better? I used to think that but now I have doubts on that.

Every generation has its faults.

Right. Some generations ruined the environment and economy and are proud of it. Other generations spend too much time on their phones. There's blame on both sides.

Things are getting progressively better on many fronts. Wars, violence, famine, poverty—newspapers could have run the headline, "137,000 people escaped from extreme poverty yesterday" every day for the last 25 years. That bad events still occur doesn’t tell us anything about whether they’re comparatively better. And while authoritarian leaders have been creeping up in a few countries, part of the reason they gain a following is the apocalyptic narratives about the world spiraling downward into perdition. Two hundred years of democracy seems unlikely that it’ll be overturned by one man or his diminishing base.

Do you ever get disillusioned when you realize that many people on the forum don’t understand your sarcasm and dry humor?
