I’m actually doing it to relax a freaked out, very painful nerve in my right leg. It worked fine the last time I had a bath.

Have you seen a doctor? Nerves aren't really supposed to do that, right? How did it freak out? :(

It’s because of nerve damage from a pedestrian car accident I had many years ago. I broke many bones and died for about five minutes from that. :P

Oh no! That sucks. Did you get some kind of compensation?
Life insurance? :P J/k.
And do you get any (non-addictive) meds to help with the pain?

No compensation but I did get to withdraw from a college program I was flunking out of.

I don’t get pain medication outside of over the counter stuff. This nerve shit doesn’t actually happen that often...even less now that I lost weight.

I'm glad it doesn't happen that often, but if it's very painful when it does happen, I would probably be looking into trying nortriptyline or something for it.

Waiting up in hopes of seeing some northern lights, a rare treat here. The best chance is predicted to be between midnight and 2am. That's a bit late for me, but it has been years since I have seen the aurora. The night is clear, no wind, and warm for late September. I can see the North Star from my yard, but I may drive to a nearby beach that faces North so I can see the horizon.

Apparently they were visible from Scotland recently as well, but we only found out about that after the fact. There should be an alert system in place to avoid missing these things, sort of like the weather warnings that make all the phones go crazy in the US, but good.

NWS: AURORA BOREALIS VISIBLE IN SCOTLAND

A NORTHERN LIGHTS ADVISORY is in effect for this area till 4 AM BST. Flee cities and travel to areas of low light pollution immediately.

Doing some coding for the first time in a while.

I'm creating an advanced (not really  but better than what we have now) spam detection system for the forum which should detect 99% of spam at the time a spammer/bot submits a post/thread and put it in a moderation queue instead of just allowing it to be posted. :awesome:

Sounds like an advanced coding to me. Trust me, I don't know anything about that. :3

It's after midnight for me so I'm just checking forum and I'm being completely not ready for tomorrow. :shake:

I’m currently on the train home.

As I got onto the train, I realised that I had misplaced one of my wireless earbuds. But then, as the journey has continued, I’ve realised that my phone was still playing music. Because it’s still connected to my missing earbud!

One of these pricks in this carriage have stolen from me!

What I am currently doing is giving each and every one of them a hateful look, in the hopes one of them will crack.

I've always had the greatest misgivings about those wireless little thingies!

But there must be something that can be done!

How about that??

Managed to turn off airplane mode on my PC. -_-

Airplane mode turns off Bluetooth functionality on which my wireless keyboard and mouse rely. So how would one ordinarily turn airplane mode off if you can’t use these any longer? Luckily I had a wired mouse stored somewhere that I used to circumvent the predicament but that seems like a clunky solution. Restarting my PC also didn’t work to turn it off. I feel like this is a boomer question that has a really obvious answer staring me in the face. :shifty:

Pro tip: The contemporary Gen Z response is “I felt that.”

That's cool. We would say, "I feel you" or "I don't give a fuck" depending
