What are you drinking?
Re: What are you drinking?
After the day I had at work, wine. Haha. Barefoot Buttery Chardonnay. I don't normally drink but fuck that was a long day.

Re: What are you drinking?
I’m drinking Coke Zero Sugar, as well as Coke with Regular Sugar, at the same time.

Are you involved in some sort of experiment we should know about...?

Re: What are you drinking?
More importantly, how can you enjoy the zero, while drinking the full fat?
In my experience zero is something one convinces themselves they like the taste of, even though nobody actually likes the taste. Tall order with the real thing between each swill.
I'm kinda bummed.
I can't find Sarspirilla in the shops locally. It's a cheap, dilutable drink that can be found in London quite readily but not many other places.
I bought some from a local shop a few weeks back. I know I did. I very much enjoyed drinking.
But now, for the life of me, I can't find it again and I feel like I've lost the plot! I know I definately bought some.
I've tried every shop I go in locally and some that i don't. It makes no sense.
WHERE DID THE SARSPIRILLA GO?

Yes, but no one should know about it.

I now prefer the taste of classic diet cokes over the newer "Zero Sugar" or "Max" or whatever options that are overly sweetened and overly flavoured.

I havent had one in ages.
They're so good when you make it yourself with real, high-quality matcha powder and sweeten it to taste. All you need is a milk frother. Also great cold with ice added!

Re: What are you drinking?
I have taken to buying a red wine - Barefoot Jammy Red - the bottle of which offers no clues as to grape variety or origin and bears only the serving recommendation “chilled from the fridge”.
It’s not quite in a box, but I feel like it should be. It’s like drinking Vimto. It’s a revelation.

I thought reds were meant to be room temperature? White wine is chilled.
Either way, are you sure it isn't Vimto being duplicitous sold as wine?

Most red wine should be served a bit above cellar temperature, around 5-10° below room temperature. But Barefoot is more an alcoholic juice than a wine.

Boxed wine has an undeserved bad reputation because people don't drink it quickly enough, so it remains open in the box for ages.

Re: What are you drinking?
Some kind of fancy berry black tea Brenden got. It's surprisingly good with just one packet of Truvia (even despite our boyfriend's cups being almost half a litre
) and no milk.

If Barefoot is a sweet drink then I would probably like it.

Wine largely passed me by. I was always a spirits man. I never quite developed the palette one seems to require, to be a true appreciatior of the stuff.
One night of over indulgence with red wine and the murderous hangover it produced, has made me wary and white wine has always tasted like acrid shit to me

Who here actually likes wine?

All wine has always tasted like acrid shit to me. And beer tastes what I can only imagine petrol would taste like.
Brenden recently fashioned me a no-added-sugar cocktail I liked a lot. 😋 It comprised:
- Cream
- Milk
- Ice
- Whiskey
- Vanilla extract
- Plenty of cocoa powder
- Truvia

Prepare to be sorely disappointed when you taste some petrol, they taste nothing alike.
