Who here actually likes wine?
All wine has always tasted like acrid shit to me. And beer tastes what I can only imagine petrol would taste like.
Brenden recently fashioned me a no-added-sugar cocktail I liked a lot. 😋 It comprised:
- Cream
- Milk
- Ice
- Whiskey
- Vanilla extract
- Plenty of cocoa powder
- Truvia
Aah, you had me upto "whiskey" that stuff kills me. Dunno what it is. But oh boy. Nuh-uh.
However it sounds like it would go well with some nice cuban rum!!

I'm drinking an orange-vanilla Coke. I don't care for Coke, but it's pretty good.

Orange vanilla coke? I don't think we have that here.
I'm not usually a big fan of coke, but I'd go in for a full fat cherry cola right now.

I’m drinking milk. The vitamin D makes me feel less like spitefully outing closeted politicians.

Ooh, very nice! Did you use any kind of sweetener or is it unsweetened?
I recently had some store-bought unsweetened soy milk at my cousin's because she's lactose-intolerant I think, and to my surprise it tasted pretty good!

i use 4 table spoon of sugar and half cup of condensed milk, i avoid excessive use of sugar i think this doesn't too much. the grinder that i use, it can't grind it very well, so it doesn't has texture as thick as store bought soy milk. so i need to add sweetener, If i can grind it to very fine particle and add emulsifier maybe i don't need to add sweetener.

Some fast food restaurants have a pop thing where you can add flavors like lime, orange, vanilla and any other flavors you so choose.

They have the same thing here! Five guys have them, the Coca Cola freestyle machines. Most Vue and Odeon Cinemas have them now too.

I can indeed attest to the taste of petrol being starkly dissimilar to that of beer.
It’s not that unusual to have accidentally tasted a bit of petrol once or twice, is it?

Aah, that would explain it. I'm not a fan of five guys. I find the burgers bland and greasy and since that's their whole thing, I don't really go there. Plus I totally make better burgers!Marmaduke wrote:PopTart wrote:erti wrote:PopTart wrote:Orange vanilla coke? I don't think we have that here.

Slightly ashamed to admit that I haven't been to the cinema for awhile and when I did go pre-pandemic, went with friends to this dirt cheap place in Peckham. The seats weren't great, but damn was everything affordable (while still being good) and the place was usually empty!

What's Vue? Is that a London thing? I'm such a stranger to London these days. Rival to Odeon?
You obviously have never syphoned petrol from a petrol tank with a hoseRené wrote:Marmaduke wrote:René wrote:Marmaduke wrote:René wrote:…And beer tastes what I can only imagine petrol would taste like…

It's a means to an end in most instances. I recall a Jamaican Rum called Wray and Nephews.... phew. Admittedly, after several glasses, it really started to taste less like rocket fuel and more like ... bananas. Ofcourse, a few glasses more and you could swear the plants were waving at you and you could spend hours talking with the carpetRené wrote:erti wrote:I think the hardest shot I drank and shouldn’t of took… Everclear… that shit burns.

It’s not wise to drink it like a shot. I don’t recommend. I prefer whisky and rum. It’s just easier to get it down but still taste awful. Only reason I’ve drink is to let loose and dance at an the rave at an anime convention. I haven’t been to an anime convention for probably 8 or 9 years after my ex broke up with me. Also the have meds to worry about.. mixing psych meds with alcohol isn’t wise. I rather get high and I don’t like weed all that much anymore. Edible has the weed taste to it no matter how much it try’s to mask it. Also smoking I hack up a lung and pee and throw up on myself. When I’m high I started getting paranoid more so than usual. I now decline any offers of Smokey smoke.

We have them in Scotland, and there was one at the mall not far from where we used to live in England too. They seem to be all over the island.

...should I have? Do you recommend it? I'm so lost.

That sounds awful. It seems like such a miserable thing to use as a drug. I only drink the odd alcoholic beverage (with maybe 10-25% alcohol) precisely for the taste (usually making ones that are normally sugary but using stevia instead

Well it does keep you warm, albeit in a rather deceptive way! Not to mention, also, the fact that it can lead to a great deal of fun—supposing, of course, that you're amidst good company and in an appropriate setting. But in any case, René, I rather suspect we all know by now that you've little use for, and certainly a somewhat low opinion of, the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
