I’m going to have to ask matcha if we can have an open relationship to allow ube to be part of the bedroom too..

Love of matcha and ube is foodie hipsterism. Brioche is objectively gay.

You're objectively gay. It's no reason to make fun of someone. Pretentious green hipster paste is.

Sure it is. Getting under your skin is one of life’s little enjoyments.

And matcha and ube aren’t pastes. C’mon Chef  Boyardee!

Matcha is a powder that you dissolve in a liquid to make a paste before using it in dishes. Ube is a tuber you grate or mash into a paste before using it in dishes.

And you know what? Brioche isn't pretentious. Bread enriched with fat is a tradition as old as bread itself. It's not my fault Voltaire used it to slander the good name of Marie Antoinette.

Oh I know it isn’t pretentious. They serve it at Panera ffs. It’s just that you make it all gay-like with your other ingredients.

I made corned beef and cabbage in the slow cooker.
They only had point cut so it was to fatty but still good. Next time I'll cut some of the fat off before i cook it.

Got Chinese takeaway this evening as an early birthday meal (was going to tomorrow but decided that Chinese wouldn’t go well with my Friday wine); I ordered Szechuan beef.

Currently snacking on the prawn crackers.

I always thought I liked (at least some) Chinese food. It turns out I like Dutch Chinese food and British Chinese food has some crucial differences.

Well don’t leave us all hanging in suspense, René. What are the differences?
