I made homemade wholewheat spätzle with my new spätzlehobel this evening, and it was so good I quickly made another batch and sautéed it with poppy seeds and sweetener as a dessert.

I made italian bread pizza for dinner. It turned out really good. I just used a chunky garden style spaghetti sauce. It really made it much better. It really was chunky with tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms. I also added some crushed garlic on it.

Still have the whole other side im gonna take for work tomorrow. Just hope it doesnt get hard overnight.

I try to avoid English food. Doesn't taste good.

I eat noodles.

So I ordered a "Bunless Burger" yesterday. This is what arrived. My colleague could not contain her laughter. Taste wasn't all that great either. Considering fasting today instead

Finally found a place that makes mapo tofu. And I'm as happy as a clam. :)
Only thing is they asked for what heat I liked from 1-5. I said 3 because I never tried it here. I think a 4 or 5 would've been better.

I hope it does not scare anyone. Today it will be plain cooked oatmeal as I don't have anything else left. It will be somehow like granny's porridge, not the same, she used some secret Romni witch ingredients.
I just use ground Cinnamon or ginger and a bit of sugar to go with the milk.

The only adequate breakfast in Europe appears to be in the UK. Everywhere else they just eat bread and coffee. Savages.

So I went to pick up an extra pie today for Thanksgiving and noticed they had mince pie. I’ve never tried it. Have any of you had it? Especially with actual meat in it, like ox tongue? I’m curious to know whether it would be worth getting for Christmas. They also had the option of a rum sauce for it. I’ve never seen that before.

Mince pies (in the UK) don’t actually contain any meat anymore, the name is just a historical artefact. (Although a traditionally made expensive one may contain animal suet.)

The “mincemeat” is just chopped up candied peel and dried fruit soaked in brandy.

Was it a full sized pie or an individual pastry? Here they’re all small individual pies.

It was a full sized pie. I wonder what a traditionally made one tastes like.

Do you like these pies? Are they worth trying?

Traditional Thanksgiving meal. Although I did switch to a corn bread stuffing. Also, not wanting to spend today cooking I prepared it all last night. Currently not hungry so just waiting. Sort of what I'll be eating in the near future and a lot subsequently as it made a lot of food. I'll even make a turkey soup with the bones and such.
