Pressure-cooked cheesecake! There's an idea. I might need to get a pressure cooker.

It’s literally the best cooking purchase I’ve ever made. It steams (frozen, but also fresh) vegetables perfectly, it cooks soups in minutes, it hard “boils” eggs consistently and perfectly (with shells that practically fall off), it cooks rice almost perfectly, and I’m constantly finding out about new things that can be done with it, such as this cheesecake.

Except I recently found out it’s not good for slow cooking, despite that being one of the settings and advertised features. In fact I think it may have made René and I sick by not being warm enough to kill the bacteria that produces the trace amine that interacts with my antidepressant, and then providing it a nice warm environment for 9 hours, without actually cooking the carrots or potatoes or split peas. :shake: I was at least able to salvage the dish by putting it on pressure cook for a few minutes to finish it.

If that’s your slice, and there’s only half the cheesecake left in the background, how much did René absolutely love this cheesecake? :gaping:

My sister Céleste and I both had a similarly-sized slice.

I imagine we'll split the leftover half between us later on when she and her husband and baby are off back home :)

In Manhattan for a week: dining, drinking, dancing, & shows. Last night we had eggplant crisps as a starter and they were amazing! I'm going to try to make them at home.

Nothing. :C

Though I'd love some chicken wings with a side of mashed potatoes and jalapeno poppers...OMG...

Delicious and nutritious golden puffs, made by ALDI with extra dietary fibre built in. This is my second serving for breakfast. (There's some milk at the bottom.)

Altogether, this breakfast provides a wonderful 631 kcal, 25 g of protein and 17 g of fibre. :keke:
