How have your wartime food supplies dwindled so quickly?

They haven't! We have plenty of crispbreads and crackers and bread and I literally just baked seeded fennel crackers earlier in the day. René is just

René just isn't half-assing it. When René says he likes tzatziki, he isn't kidding. This is not the time for half measures.

Oh no, René, tzatziki is delicious, but with something. On it's own, it's just too much. Was it shop bought? If its home made, that's one thing.

It was store-bought. And oh, how wrong you are. :keke:
It's just right on its own. There is no need to augment it.

THIS mofo I ate last night. Not all of it lol. I have a ton left. It's aged prime rib. I got it at Stony River. It came with 4 salad wedges, mashed potatoes, and chocolate cake. It was only $50 for all of that! I wonder if they're just getting rid of inventory at this point. That should have been a couple hundred dollars normally. I was shocked at how heavy it was! I did drive by pick up so I didn't need to get out of the car and I asked the lady to put it in the backseat. I'm going back this week just to get some more and freeze it!

I made homemade beef pot pie. But I made one full sized pie. It turned out okay but the dough at the bottom didn't cook fully. I followed the recipe on Martha Stewart's website.

Is that those cute little red truffles? That come in the irregular shaped box? Because honey, I'll eat the whole box in one sitting  :D

Well it could be one of those Lindor bars, but yeah, either way it's a Lindt truffle of some sort.

I was going to make the comment that nothing I can buy at a petrol/gas station is gourmet, but then I remembered Shrink is American. And the American chocolate selection is truly awful. So maybe Lindt is as good as it gets over there?

Pooler's got a point with the softness of texture, one must admit. ...uhm...
It would be a waste though. It's pure protein that makes muscle to a man! ;)

I eat Avocados. And all RAW again. Not even certain if normal people would cook them up or something. I just bathed them in Vodka, to make sure one certain virus got an entire arse kicked, in case one had decided to cling on to the skin. So if this killed off an abundance of wee critters, now I can be called a sinister servant of mass extinction and have to live with it. :|

I'm so confused by this paragraph. :psyduck:

Are you suggesting you think people cook avocados? And you soak them in vodka to kill coronavirus?

If only the medical profession would have realised the power of vodka, governments around the world wouldn’t have had to press-gang manufacturers into adapting to produce sanitiser.

The power of vodka has probably been covered up to stop the world giving money to Russia. It’s conspiracy madness on the forum today.

My idea of foods from the upper class of earthlings would be rather rudimentary . I mean, they even cook goats heads these days, so with Avocados it could pretty well be, they are eaten differently to the way I do.

Well. I couldn't get any virucidal desinfectant as it was sold out. The alcohol will destroy the virus, although I think you need a high percentage. so Stroh Rum could be better. My friend Juri left the bottle here, so I thought, maybe that's some use for this.
Can't put much use to it in taxidermy. They use different alcohol for squirrel and ferret skins.

I finally found one butcher that sells halved pig heads! So food wise I'm happy.

Here’s a tip during this pandemic: order breakfast at Norms and get a free carton of eggs. Mine was 20+ eggs!

We had store-bought lasagna I bought at the convenience store 45 seconds away from the house. It’s better than it has any right to be for 8 dollars.

Lately I have been doing a diet-like thing where I only eat when Greg eats. His eating habits are pretty much normal so this may help a bit, especially during the lockdown.

Over here Brenden gets this particular storebought microwave mac & cheese for me sometimes that's just delicious! Better than I've ever had at any restaurant. It's crazy how good that stuff is for a microwave meal :P

That sounds like a good idea. We shall call it the Greg Method.
