It's sort-of chocolate with extra BUTYRIC ACID — the stuff that gives vomit its characteristic lovely odour. Americans think this is normal.

They are one of the largest chocolate makers in the world. I think they own or have the rights to produce other chocolate brands like Kit Kat and Reese’s.

They may have been good when they started, but now they use cheap processing methods to mass produce the chocolate. Hershey’s is almost synonymous with chocolate in the U.S. because of their ubiquitous presence here. Once you try better chocolate, it’s hard to go back to Hershey’s because the taste is so strange.

Okay in fairness I do like a good Kit Kat and Reese's is one of my favourite forms of chocolate though that's mostly cause I'm a slut for peanut butter. So maybe Hershey's isn't terrible after all.

I've never smelt vomit when eating a Kit Kat or Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, I don't know what to tell you here.

Butyric acid is also what gives Parmesan cheese it’s tangy flavor. The taste may remind some people of vomit, but to many it just adds a tanginess to the chocolate. It is caused by processing the milk to lengthen its shelf life.

I am not sure they use the same process in Kit Kat’s or Reese’s.

I'm one of those weird mutants that legitimately loves chilli chocolate so I guess 'this chocolate is a bit tangy' is not really a concern that I have.

Is chilli the same as chile? In New Mexico we have chocolate ice cream with powdered red chile, which I really like. I'm a big fan of spicy desserts in general.

Kit Kats are a Nestlé product outside of the US.

Chilli is the British English word for chile/chili, as in the capsicum pepper, following the correct Nahuatl etymology.

Porridge with pecans, maple-cured streaky bacon bits, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Maple bacon is the worst thing Canada ever did that isn't genocide-adjacent.

You've ruined some perfectly good porridge.

Get out.

The proper preparation and consumption of porridge is everything. Your tears? They mean nothing to me.

The only appropriate way to prepare porridge is to pick up the packet, open the nearest bin, and throw it in with all the force you can possibly muster.
