Can I adopt a pet tortoise and move to a tropical island never to return to the U.S. again? Does this sound acceptable? At least the getting the cute little tortoise part? Please lol

Okay, so, let me just admit this, because I'd rather admit it myself than have other people notice and think about it: yes, I do post a lot! It's true. I've no life lol

Also, why don't people appreciate more the possession of a decent sense of propriety than once they did? In the good, old days a genteel character was valued so highly, and now it's treated as though it were an oddity to be gawked at, or worse, mocked.

The frequency of your posts is not what’s irritating. It’s that, whilst scrolling down the page on a phone or iPad, I have to go through the same three verse poem over and over and over. That makes me wish you’d fuck off, not the content of the actual posts. That’s not being a “genteel character” nor does it pay any heed to propriety. It’s obnoxious.

And it's not three verses, it's three STANZAS.

It’s self-indulgent, attention-seeking wank from someone that is genuinely labouring under the misapprehension that he’s pulling off “cultured”. But hey, no sense talking to a brick wall about it. You’ll just roll-out the “I don’t even want people to like me” go-to of the failed attention seeker and I’ll get nowhere.

A sensible man knows when a fight isn’t worth having, I suppose. Out of character for me though it may be.

That's hurtful—incredibly so, actually.

Well I think even you would’ve struggled to find a compliment in it.

I probably shouldn’t look at my Twitter feed on the bus. It’s full of porn drawings... :P

I must admit this sort of thing has happened to me before, and it’s thoroughly embarrassing—probably the worst nightmare for someone with social anxiety.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m embarrassed by it, though. I’m past the point where I have anxiety over what strangers think...that being said I didn’t stop looking at the Twitter until I was caught up. ;)

something like seeing "paranoid schizophrenia" on paperwork from my mental health clinic kind of hits home.

Yeah... with stigma... before I knew what schizophrenia was I had a picture of a man wearing a tin foil hat because aliens are trying to hear their thoughts. It never dawned on me I would have that same Dx.

My dad died last night of septic shock. Not doing well. He died peaceful tho. He had a lot of co-morbidities that contributed to his death. My poor dad is now wherever we go when we die.

If you have a relative who drinks alcohol make sure they know they're more susceptible to certain bacteria infections that usually only affects drinkers....and it's pretty much death for sure. Small survival rate. My dad died peaceful tho. We were there and played Bob Dylan for him. He shed two tears. I miss him so much and love him so much. I'm a mess. He didn't want to be dependent on alcohol. He had a lot of other co-morbidities that he had no control over (including alcohol). My poor dad is now wherever we go when we die.

My condolences for your loss. I’m glad it was peaceful and you got to say goodbye.

It makes me sad that I will almost certainly be dead before commercial space tourism, with moon base or space station hotels and stuff, is an actual practical, affordable reality.

Or if I'm not dead I'll be too old to take part in it, or care about it.
