It's really fun."

He's firmly in the "only test cricket is valid cricket" way of thinking. He hates the very concept of the Hundred.

I don’t see how he could object to it, it’s just objectively a better spectacle. I’ve never watched a game of test cricket in life, or T20. But I’ve watched about 6 or 7 matches in this new Hundred franchise. It’s genuinely a good watch. I’ve not come across anyone with a bad word to say about it.

A few of the old punters at work who are big into cricket aren't fond of it either. I don't get why but then before last week I'd never watched cricket in my life.

From what I can gather most of the complaint is "they're dumbing down a great game so the young idiots today can understand it." Apparently being able to follow test cricket is the sign of true intellect among people who also think it's wise to spend like £200 a day betting on which horse can run fastest.

My good friend has a milestone birthday coming soon. I want to do something extra nice for him. The issue is that his boyfriend can't do much financially or otherwise. How do I make the day special for my friend without upstaging his other half?

I don’t think I subscribe to the notion that everyone else should be beholden to the spending power of a person’s spouse. They’re in a relationship, gifting in a relationship - at least to me - isn’t about price tags. It’s about thoughtfulness.

Buy your friend a Rolex. Then buy me a Rolex. I’m 33 this month. What bigger milestone could there be? We’re friends. I think you’d certainly upstage everyone I know.

Did you say something? Genuine question. I’d hate to rob you of an opportunity to play this weird character you’ve come up with. This being a forum of adults, there’s nothing we’re more envious of than another person on the internet that prides themselves on being a mean crazy bitch, flexing things they don’t own to bolster their own fragile sense of self. I just don’t know what you said to me that’s awaiting response.

You let me know what crazy bitch shit I missed and I’ll write you a reply on my diamond studded Gucci x Supreme collab Skateboard-come-Tablet with my Louis Vuitton internet warrior gloves and my Versace bad-ass bitch sunglasses.

But you’ll forgive if I’m a little slow to reply, I’m currently holidaying on my yacht in the Maldives with Roman Abramovich and Cher.

I just had one of my best work experiences ever — sharing some magic with people who will remember it for years, or forever. I will too, but it will be one of many.

Leaving grad school with my Master's and definitely in the existential ennui panic phase atm. I have a short term job until I find something that fits but still a bit terrifying,it's my first time really being "out there" in the world so just trying to figure out how and where I fit into everything is confusing. 💀

I remember that time in my life. You'll find your way. Put in the legwork, be open to possibilities, don't panic, do a good job of whatever you do — even if it is short term. All of that will pay off in the long run.

I really wish that as a now 30-year-old adult man I wouldn't still be scared of groups of teenagers on the street.

I’m bored out of my mind. As usual, I can’t sleep because my brain dislikes me. But everyone I know is asleep, so I’m watching a movie with my friend’s brother. I’ve seen it countless times though, so I’m not much into it. :shake:

Sometimes I think I might be in some way asexual with how often I go through very very long periods of just not being remotely interested in even the thought of having any kind of sex at all.

The adjoining periods would suggest not.

Valid argument. Just feel like those adjoining periods are getting fewer and further apart lately. Like even the thought of trying to just schedule a hookup exhausts me, and that's just arranging it let alone actually going through with it.

I'd say it's a sign I'm just getting too old for this shit but I'm only fucking 30.

The same kind of periods occur to me every so often, too—albeit not to quite such a lengthy duration as yours seem to happen.

That has more to do with depression than asexuality.

OnlyFans: “Tumblr did a porn ban two years ago and it completely destroyed their viewership and stock value but we’re sure that totally won’t happen to us…”

I know, right?

Apparantly, they didn't actually want to ban porn themselves, it was instead the result of pressure and threats from payment processors, like Visa etc. Who refused to process payments if Onlyfans continued to allow porn on it's site.

I don't really know why they would care, frankly. But it seems they do.

Any streaming subscription service that doesn't just have a 'cancel' button and makes you submit some kind of official inquiry to them to get your shit cancelled must be run by bastards who hate you.

Lookin' at you, NBA.

They care because an article came out where is was proven that Onlyfans was knowingly tolerating illegal content for profit. Where everywhere else that hosts porn, on child porn getting reported, the content is deleted and the user banned, Onlyfans had a policy which directed moderators to issue multiple warnings before deleting accounts.

Payment providers have no issue with porn. They love porn. They’ll always make money with porn. They do have an issue with facilitating pedophilia, sexual exploitation and knowing complacency with illegality for porn. They’re just going to court the next platform to come along and fill the gap.
