Not to be an enabler or anything but personally I’ll take honest vulgarity over the alternative. :P

Yeah, I know I'm in the minority. No need to remind me!

I’ve noticed people who leave comments like that, or comments under porn clips, tend to be 60 or over. Something about that generation that just likes to drive-by shitpost pervert comments. No grace or finesse with the execution. :oface:

Honestly I can believe that. Older people do tend to be pretty ill-suited to generally comporting themselves online, so it wouldn't shock me.

[P.S. (Not a letter, but still works!) I can see why you might not always "reply with quote, as it's called; for I can imagine it can become of unreasonable or just plain silly length far too quickly.]

It wouldn't take long for me to feel pretty tired of feeling that way, too. Was there anything in particular that led to you feeling this way, or just a bunch of smaller things over time?

Hope you feel better

I think a new housekeeper they hired named Brett is very cute. He looks very much like a cub, and definitely pings on the ‘gaydar’ when he speaks to me. :3

Consider these two performances of the Offenbach aria, "The Doll Song." Notice anything at all peculiar or out of the ordinary in one of them? I certainly do!

It's that in the second one, the vocalist acts rather bizarrely (albeit boldly and perhaps even a bit cleverly)—not to mention that one of her actions, in particular, seems to me to be wildly inappropriate and maybe even bordering on potentially criminal (I can't say for sure though). Anyway, if you've not the patience to watch the two performances in full and compare them—which could make for a better appreciation of the differences between the two vocalists in technical skill—, then just go to 3:07 in the second video, from which point on things just get weirder and weirder.

I guess part of me is simply wondering as to what was Kermes' motivation for doing as she did. I'm not sure whether she (1) experienced a brief loss of her sanity; (2) thought taking her interactions with the audience to another level would be innovative or somehow beneficial to her reputation ( after all, regardless of whether one approves or not, it truly is memorable!); (3) was attempting to cover up one or another deficiency in her technique, of which I'm inclined to think she has multiple; or else (4) some combination of these. I don't really have any idea, and that only makes it all the more mind-boggling to me.

It just occurred to me that interactions between residents and Jehovah’s Witnesses are probably down significantly now with the invention of video doorbells like Nest. I wonder if they’re having some sort of crisis or if they’ll chill about it because so long as they’re making the effort, however useless it may be, they can check of a box on their religious duties list.

I'd imagine they're freaking out and decrying it as the work of the devil (who, by the way and if I recall correctly, only fell from heaven in the late 19th century).

Your boyfriend dumped you while worrying about your future, or your boyfriend dumped you and you're worrying about your future?

I do miss Margaret Thatcher sometimes. She was terribly eloquent and charming at times, even if I do tend to disagree with her on so many things.

I’m thinking about work. Work has been quite difficult lately between the heavy workloads and a certain annoying coworker who runs away when the going gets tough. They’re also quite the fragile flower, and even more so than me!

Well then i suppose you're in an excellent position to sympathize with them and try to understand what they might be going through. Hope things get better for you in terms of the heavy workloads.

I did sympathize in the beginning, but they’re really wearing thin on my patience by making their personal problems everyone else’s and complaining about how tired they are from working. It’s a difficult job, as I have been doing it for a long time, but many of us have been picking up their slack for awhile now and it’s draining to listen to. I suspect they aren’t going to last much longer, especially if they pull any more no-shows.

I always eye-roll when people insist that you must love their dog — or any dog for that matter — or else you’re a monster. Like, I like cats but I “get” why many people are not into them. I don’t actively proselytize cat worship or psychoanalyze anyone who don’t like them but many dog people seem to be oblivious to the fact that some of us just are very big on the whole high energy thing, many of them constant Lu slobbering and barking, they’re kinda bony and smell unpleasant. I’m just indifferent to most of them, but some people feel to change your mind about it. Like, no, please, I’m good.

I can totally get behind foxes, though.

Fair enough, I think. Everyone's patience and understanding has to reach a limit eventually; we humans are rather imperfect creatures, after all. You definitely get credit for sympathizing at first and for trying to be patient with them. In any case, I do get your frustration, since the situation sounds aggravating, exhausting, and overall unenviable. From what you've said of them, I too don't imagine they're going to last terribly much longer; because I don't know many people who'd put up with those sorts of behaviors in those they employ any longer than really necessary (esp. the not showing up or doing their part). But anyway, hopefully things will improve soon and the work environment will go back to being a bit more sustainable with respect to your mood and energy. Sorry if this post sounds a bit forced—or, should I say, more artificial or contrived than my typical style for writing forum posts. I'm just fatigued right now, owing to the fact that I've been working on stuff for my college courses pretty much nonstop since yesterday morning.

You monster!

May your food and drink be forever mixed with the shed fur of a thousand and fifty-five felines!!! May your black clothing bear always those cursed hairs, a reminder of to you of your monstrosity! Repent, I say, and denounce your misguided ways; abandon your feline idolatry and accept into your heart the love of the one, true companion and guardian of humanity: the loyal and loving canine!

Okay, well, that was a fun distraction from the mountain of work I've still to do. I feel like I did a decent job at imitating the proselytizer. I mean, I suppose I should know the type, seeing as random Christians like to come up to me on the street, begging me to join them in church, and telling me the wonders, miracles, and manifold proofs of Jesus.

When I was a kid, my peers were mostly very cruel to me. They teased me, humiliated me, chased me home from school and stuff like that. My family was also hard on me growing up.

My peers and family are nice to me now. What changed? Why weren’t they compassionate with me back during my formative years when I needed it?
