So we're expecting 8inches and it's suppose to snow overnight (starting now with like 9 hours till midnight). I'm a bit worried about the exam tomorrow night.
*looks outside*
HOLY SHIT! It already covered everything up after 20 minutes.
So yea I'm a bit concerned. I hope they don't push it close to my math exam. Knowing my university they won't even cancel classes tomorrow
. We'll see.

No idea whatsoever what to expect from my Japanese oral this morning. Or any of the written exams coming up next week for that matter.
To freak out because I haven't studied enough or not to freak out and just expect the exams to continue on high school level of being so easy it hurts?

Re: What are you thinking at the moment?
The definition of fascism, historically, and the strange form of fascism our society has developed in the last few decades. It's more insidious, but also more benign, I've noticed.
It jives well with my oft-hidden political views, on which I have begun formalizing a theory, philosophically, practically and spiritually. No idea how long this essay will take. Thus far it's split into four 'books', sections that explain the benefits of benign fascism. Yeah, it's treading dangerous water, but the idea of a benevolent fascist state is compelling, and worth consideration given democracy as-is does not work, even slightly, in any beneficial capacity.
Benign dictatorship is the solution. It is, thus, just a matter of finding a benign dictator.

I've always found that a dictatorship advised by councils made up of actual experts was the only truly effective form of government. However, I'm not sure if we can ever realistically reach such a state.

Turns out the whole thing was like a big joke. Yay, university life!

It really would be -- both the best possible situation, and nearly impossible to reach as a people. Thank God the US is doing it voluntarily then!

Do light curtains not exist in this country or are they called something else? All I'm finding is heavy/blackout shit meant for huge poles. I just want some light, slightly translucent curtains for our bedroom to scatter the little bit of streetlight that gets past our bedroom's hanging blinds.

Re: What are you thinking at the moment?
I propose a new game called Simon Roulette. It has three components:
1. Have a porn tumblr - a dashboard of 99% porn.
2. Disable endless scrolling on your dashboard, so you have to click to the next page.
3. Count how many clicks it takes for you to see at least one of Simon's nudes.
4. Bonus points if you can get a photo set, two in a row, or some super creepy comment by one of his "fans".

That game is almost worth it's own thread.

Isn't that pretty much every picture? The real challenge is to find a pic where he's not worshipping himself.

Funnily enough we always used to have the opposite problem at my Mum's house. We couldn't find blackout curtains that would sit on our stupidly designed curtain rail in our living room, and we've still got these pathetic curtains now that have faded so much in sunlight here that they're basically transparent. My Mum refuses to change them until she can afford to redecorate the whole room

I'm starting to feel that there should be affirmative action for Aspies in academia. Too many academics are sloppy and careless and it's both embarrassing and harmful to their respective fields.

My living arrangement for 2014-2015. It's just stupid to be thinking about it THIS early. I don't even know what the inside of the new dorm is gonna look like lol.

Feeling psychic because I chose to work Mondays and my uni schedule has actually not fucked with my work schedule for once. But annoyed at the fact I have a 6 hour gap between lectures. -_-
