I feel somehow like Donald Trump's appearance isn't irrelevant. It's the whole terrifying package with him.

Because complaining about the legitimate things go no where fast for the most part. Not to just pick on the Democratic party, most politicians are nothing more than self-serving, egotistical, shits on both sides. Both sides feed their followers (Party line people) whatever BS they think will placate them and then later vote however their money backers want them to vote.

Do you mean on issues like where she voted against figuring out what to do with the nuclear waste that is being stock piled at the plants that are producing it thus worsening a hazard that is getting nothing but worse? Yep, she's a bright one.

Do you honestly think going after her appearance and whether she’s had plastic surgery is more impactful than, say, simply pointing out that her net worth is in the tens of millions, especially when trying to make some kind of a point about empathy and hypocrisy or corruption?

Empathy, yes; hypocrithy yes; corruption is a stretch; infuance from political contributions is a consideration even you have to admit that.

Because how else do you think her net worth increases so much (i.g., almost doubles within 5 years)? She gets tonnes of money for speaking events (like Hillary) and her husband is heavily invested in companies that are directly affected by what Congress does and what Congress' leaders know.

mxguy01 wrote:… infuance from political contributions is a consideration even you have to admit that.

How am I not considering that? You seem to be completely missing my point. I gave one example (note the "…, say,…") of something concrete that illustrates her unsavouriness that can be used as opposed to ad hominem mocking of her appearance or other trivial attributes.

That is exactly what it was meant as, trivial, stupid, silly. Yet you insist on taking it as something said being totally serious. XD

FYI, this article says her and her husband made their money in real estate.

So my point between the lines was the American politics is doomed to repeated the bull shit crap as long as "special interest groups" are permitted that kind of influence over the politicians. Funny how campaign finance rules really don't change that significantly.

^^I think most Americans already know everything in that video.
Imo it was the biggest factor in Trump being elected. We want something different. The drain the swamp rhetoric was enticing

We are in need of a huge change. But that's nothing new.

Ot: trinity Taylor better win drag race all stars. With manilla getting voted off for no reason. Trinity is the only other person deserving of winning.

But looking at the past few seasons neither Sasha or trixie were the deserving winners yet still won. :(

I think it helps to have one of the establishment, actually confirming what everyday Americans (and much of the rest of the world) thinks. It's one thing to suspect or even know, it somehow brings it home to have a representative actually address it in such a fashion.

The question becomes, what gets done about it?

OT: I am beyond exhausted lately, I don't know if it's from the running around and stress of buying my own place (which is moving so slowly :argh: ) of if it's the cold snap we've had, sapping my energy, but even after a full nights sleep I wake up feeling groggy as fuck.

I could do with a weekend and some change, of solid sleep :asleep:

Either that, or a holiday in sunny climes and stunning vistas. :P

Hope everyone here abouts is well

Holy crap. It’s as if Bill Maher was reading the exchange between Brenden and mxguy01 and decided to weigh in. From yesterday:

I was watching a video on youtube today. It was a compilation of worst singing auditions and one guy just straight-up dropped his pants while singing an original song that went something like 'I'm a stud'... The judges were traumatized and Paula Abdul walked off and started puking.
I felt really creeped out too. Like, major cringing and wanted to shut my eyes and ears.

Then I got to thinking, what is it that makes stripping so fun and cute, but a random guy who suddenly drops his pants out of nowhere is horrifying?

Well, I mean, it depends on who’s doing the stripping. If Jack (Jacketh) dropped his pants it would be hot in any situation (yes, even a funeral! :oface:) but if some random uggo did it we’d all be mortified.
