Ugh. Hailey Baldwin! God, you’re such an out-of-touch geezer. :oface:

I'm pretty sure I've got chronic bronchitis, I get the same symptoms and chesty-cough for a few of months of the year and it kills me. I'm literally coughing every minute right now :(

Problem is, the last few times it has come on have been when I come home. When I'm sitting in the same room as my parents, who smoke, and (rather disgustingly) do it next to me and refuse to smoke out near a window or out the backdoor. They don't seem to understand 80% of cigarette smoke is invisible.

I don't really know how to approach this with them. I enjoy visiting and normally come home for a week or two at a time, but its clearly triggering it & effecting me and I notice a massive difference the day I'll sit in my bedroom v the day I'll be in the front room with them.

The outrage some people are expressing over a woman’s involvement in the black hole event horizon image is silly and rather pathetic. They’re angry because articles are highlighting her involvement as a woman in science when she isn’t the lead, and that this constitutes sexism. Someone please help me pull my eyes back into their sockets currently resting on my lower back.

It's my understanding that she was actually the lead of the algorithm sub-team.

That said, I do find it ridiculous that she's getting so much coverage herself.

Like, she's the charming face and human interest of this big science story, which immediately caused a wave of drippingly credulous, facebookish sentiment fawning over her, which immediately caused a backlash among people whose sensibility is contrarian but no less socially oriented. It's the yin and yang of social media.

I guess these outlets were, to use your favorite word, pandering to women.

I was at a funeral today. Is it weird that I was very amused by the fact that they have a remote for church bells? I find it quite funny that at the moment when the guy finishes his thing (and everyone is dead silent), he pulls out a remote and starts furiously tapping the buttons on a remote to turn on the church bells. And this wasn't even my first funeral where he used that remote.

I am thinking if I’m making the right choice by staying in a relationship I have felt for a while won’t last and one of the guys on here kind of confirmed my thoughts and feelings. Im wondering now if im just staying because I need to make a little money before I make my move, if I’m staying because I don’t want to hurt him, or if I truly feel deep deep down that this can work between us. I’m sitting at my doctor’s office contemplating what to do, today is my last chance to run as i’ve accepted a new job in LA, a place I don’t care to be at. They are extremely nice there and I don’t want to start the job and bail on them after I realize I can’t do this. I feel that by starting this job tomorrow I am forcing myself to stay and work this out longer than I feel I want to.

If you find a look-alike of yourself and have sex with him, would it be considered gay or just masturbation?
