What are you thinking at the moment?

I've been thinking alot about the irony of time.

I finally got around to buying my own place a few months back, a stressful experience I have no intention of repeating anytime soon! While it's been everything I thought it would be, it's also been a hell of alot more too.

I usually budget well, but so many hidden costs have had me working more hours than I care to admit, to replenish my savings and get back to an even cash flow situation, all while settling in and sorting g out my place, working on a budding relationship and snatching what time i can for my friends and myself.

All I've wished for lately, is a week or two off work, almost prayed for it

I got my wish, but alas, as the mystic powers that be have a horribly nasty sense of humour, its come in the guess of an admittance to hospital :argh:

I'm lucky, I qualified for full sickness benefits just last month, in my current job, the management arent happy, but neither am I, because while i now find myself with ample time on my hands, I'm bed bound and exiled from from the home I've bought! lots of time to think about all those things I could be doing :pfft:

If there is a God, he is one bitchy queen.

I guess it lends credence to the saying, becareful what you wish for...

On the upside, the hospital staff are handing out pharmaceuticals like they are sweeties.

So atleast I can stew in the irony of the situation, enveloped in a hazy, drug induced glow :awesome:

Also, hot doctor.

Oh, I already made that suggestion, alongside asking if he'd supervise a bed bath for me.

I'm.thinking his awkward, professional laugh, were a sign he was open to the idea and would consider it.

A little.persusion might be in order :D

Spontaneous pneumothorax, developed into a Tension pneumothorax, which has led to a bronchioplural fistula (such sexy terminology) :shifty:

Surgery is incoming in the next few days, I hope. While being sedated and man handled by a cascade of anonymous men, with groups of enthusiastic observers watching on, have been a fantasy of mine for time to time, it's not quite living upto the expectation.

Not one of them has had his way with my naked and vulnerable form :gaping:

I might make a complaint.

Thanks Chris, it's really good to have a place that is mine, getting it how I want it, has been a project after work, since I moved in. I'm both loving it and hating the fact that to pay for it, I have to forgo enjoying sitting around in it, basking in ownership :D

I'm with Brendon, why not? Might be fun and perhaps the chance to actively and openly celebrate their sexuality might make them appreciate how important it is to have that right, which helps our cause, surely.

Sleep until you cannot sleep no more. Cry until you can cry no more. Eat until you cannot eat anymore. Dreams aren't comforting, crying is exhausting, and eating too much makes you feel fat and crampy, I don't want to live anymore. I'm sad and I want to feel love again. I want to feel happiness again. I want to feel a peace of mind. I crave it... I live for it.

In the past week they announced a drag race Germany and a drag race Canada.

SO now. We already had a regular season of drag race and an all star's this year. A drag race Thailand this year and thats soon to record its 3rd season. A drag race UK that has already been recorded and just waiting to be released. Another all star's currently filming. With season 12 to start filming either this week or next week.
And now 2 more international crossovers.

This is getting insane. Lol. Just the normal version and all star's back to back seemed to much. But wtf ? Rupaul is making shitloads of money from this. He's far bigger then he ever was in the 90's. And it's actually in the contract for EVERY queen that rupaul gets a percentage of the money they make for a few years after there on the show. I cant even imagine the money he's getting.

That's not even mentioning the show he has on Netflix now.

Personally i really feel like rupaul is gonna get out of the franchise soon and just produce. Just by how large its becoming. He doesnt need to host. Plus there's always hate towards him when certain queens are kicked out or dont win.
Almost like why should he deal with the drama when he doesn't have to.

It's been growing for a few year's now. I started watching from the first season and omg it was a totally different show. It used to be basically only gay guy's watching. But now almost as many straight females watch the show. Its definitely become mainstream. And has been winning Emmys the past few years.

They certianly show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Even though its become much more rigged since its beginning.

The way i look at it is its by far the biggest "gay" show on tv currently. And everyday a newly gay child will discover it and relate. So i only see the fanbase growing. Its had pretty steady ratings now since around season 8.

And their about to start filming season 12 soon.

It makes sense that other production companies want it because its already successful and you already know there will be an audience interested even if its just gays. But it's clear more then just gays are watching. So they really cant lose even in the worst scenario of just gay guys watching.

Not just straight women and gay men watch it but I'm sure a lot of lesbian/bi women like myself watch it to support their brothers sisters in the LGBT community. When I'm downstairs and hanging out with my mom I ask her not to put on supernatural shows she puts it on RuPaul Drag Race. We've binge watched most seasons so far. Besides Fruits Basket (anime) it's the only show I can sit through and watch.

^^who are some of your favorite queens?
Yeah drag race is the only show that ive consistently kept up with over the years. Even though the seasons arent as good. There still better then alot of other TV shows.

And yep there are plenty of lesbian/ bi's that watch to. It's just teenage female's seem to be the largest group of viewer's. Especially if you look at who attends drag con every year.
( yep they hold 2 drag conventions every year as well. )
