Felt that 4.7 magnitude earthquake as the epicenter was 10ish miles away. The largest this year was an 5.6.

I look forward to the day California finally sinks into the ocean.

Yeah, I should pack up and move to that wasteland of a state you live in. It's perfect for you though. I suspect you fit in nicely there with the crabby old people.

You definitely wouldn't be the first to come here from California after being chased away by a combination of property taxes and fire. But we'll have to compensate by letting in more Mexican immigrants if we want our food to stay good.

I hope they smuggle in some of that Mexico City water and contaminate your supply.

Derek, you have awesome timing.

Actually I came across this last night: https://tinyurl.com/y5x2bdt9.

Which again just smacks me in the face with the thought of why I just don't wrap what needs finished here, dispose of things I don't really need/want anymore, and start my retirement life. I keep kicking around the idea not only living in one place but occasionally moving around. I'd be so tempted to start with some place like Prague or nearby and then go from there. I wonder how much trouble it is re-establishing residency in places or I would just need to stick with places that simply allow extensions of visitors visas or such. I could see the hassle of doing that being prohibitive of more frequent location changes. Then again I could do something where I do short term rentals until I find a place I want to settle in for a bit. Biggest thing for me will be the lifestyle change but I think I may be just as ready for that change now as well.

With places like that available to retire to why in god's name would someone choose NM.

One of the truly sad behaviors exhibited by some in life is that of those that can only prop themselves up by putting others down.

Isn’t that the American way?

Anyway, brb. Gotta remind someone their country of origin is a shithole and that we’re number 1.

It's classic bully mentality. You know, someone with more empathy would recognize a soul in pain and try to reach out to them in friendship, instead of publicly exposing the depth of their sadness with trenchant psychological observations.

Ooooh, the childish banter stings so much ....

No, actually it's not the american way. Seen plenty of non US citizens exhibit exactly the same behavior over the years. It's more a human condition that many don't seem to be able to have any self-restraint over. Let's face it though, it is a pretty ugly character trait; and it is fairly prevalent in society.

I am loving Landon more ever week on dragula.
That "bear" werewolf look was so fucking good. .its obvious they put so much thought into what there doing. Even the look for the haunted house was just so perfect for that scenario. It reminded me a lot of the movie slumber party massacre 2. ( a great slasher film series)

I really want them to win. Imo it's between Dollya and landon. Although imo Priscilla should have won the freak show challenge. So just record wise Landon has the clear best track record. Actually a lot of Dollya's critiques are a bit suspicious.

However I do think Dollya will have a great final floor show. I'm sure of it actually. But I'm confident Landon will have an equally great floor show. And unless they royally fuck up it's there's for the win.

GFO has been slow lately. Whether this is just a lull or part of a general decline in online forums has yet to be seen. I blame Rudy Giuliani.

Stick around and things may change. We have a lot of good members who must be out doing laundry, tidying the garden, or recovering from an indulgent weekend...

Agreed. That video is unbelievably offensive. I can't imagine an organization looking for donations producing such a thing.

We have a gun problem in the US, we have a mental healthcare problem, schools are vulnerable. Solutions are needed, but that video is no part of a solution.

In fact it is detrimental. It will be viewed as sensationalism which it is. That will cause the real message to not even be considered by many because of that.
