Agreed. That video is unbelievably offensive. I can't imagine an organization looking for donations producing such a thing.

We have a gun problem in the US, we have a mental healthcare problem, schools are vulnerable. Solutions are needed, but that video is no part of a solution.

Do you really have to keep bringing up Trump on this forum! We all know the man is mental.

^^ sometimes people can be completely insensitive and apathetic to situations.

How anyone thought that video could do any good is beyond me.

I hadn’t noticed the comments in the Terninator: Dark Fate movie until today. Jesus people are petty. They hate it because it cast more women and an Hispanic American dude. Suddenly it’s a feminist PC agenda.

Don't know if you guys in the US are aware but we're having major climate change protests in London at the moment by a group called Extinction Rebellion or "XR"

Scenes from today or last night of commuters dragging two protesters from the top of a Tube train.

Frankly I'm not at all opposed to this.

XR chose their moment poorly here. 2 men vs thousands of commuters eager to get to work/go home. They should focus their energies on decision makers rather than Londoners going about their daily lives.

I’m thinking I should’ve gone to the grocery store this evening instead of napping...but I apparently really needed the sleep. :(

For some reason it seems all these activist groups seem to think the best way to make their cause heard is to cause as much disruption and piss as many people off as possible, remember having issues getting home from Leeds one day last year when people stormed the tracks at Manchester and Kings Cross. Terrible thing is, the protests are likely putting people off using public transport due to the disruption making creating issues for the environment.

When the "Occupy Movement" protesters where doing their thing here, they were at times shutting down major highways during commute hours. I think it is safe to say when such movements start what is simply nothing but harassment of the general population they do nothing but alienate people from their cause. I was rather surprised that it did not result in some of them being run over or etc. I wonder how many of them considered that the police who were protecting them when they did that were the same ones they later spat upon at night during their riots.

He's the best part of this past year. And I love him madly.
Just wish I was there to celebrate with him.

This is so sweet! I know so many couples that met on forums.

Happy Birthday to your beau :awesome: - may I ask why you're not able to celebrate with him? Is it a LDR?

I've seen them leave packages in bins before, and where the bins have been collected the same day! Straight in the rubbish!

Like you say this seems the point they're missing. I started a debate in my family whatsapp group yesterday as my sister who is the black sheep of the family in that she's very socialist and minor-activist. She started going on about the suffragette movement and crafted a huge monologue with images and dates and.... blah

Just annoying really. :facepalm2:

I really need to buy earmuffs I think. I have gotten into a habit of waking up early and going to the gym etc but I just can't sleep in the level of noise in my home because others sleep late.

Ear plugs. They are cheap and they work. Especially handy to have if someone else snores.

Sam is being very sloppy in this thinking here. The idea I think is based on a few unfounded assumptions. Sexism is actually a good analogy here. It’s perfectly possible to both marry a woman, one that you genuinely care for, but have attitudes and behaviors that generally regard them in an inferior way. You hit them or treat them like a child because you regard women as children, for instance, a rather popular attitude in the 1950s, but think you’re doing so for their own good. That doesn’t make you not sexist. And it isn’t a very persuasive arguments to downplay the sexist simply because you can find worse examples in Uganda. Moral ambiguity exists. Most prejudice arises not from inexplicable animus but from perceived gripes people have about groups. There’s no question that Chelsea’s response is a predictable, knee-jerk, lefty reaction to that defense, but his response to her was just lazy.

Late reply, but better late than never, right? I also feel that way at times, but I tend to also put it down to time zone. In addition, I think a lot of the busier "gay" forums are because a lot of the traffic is porn or posting dick pics. A forum that is more about actual intellectual content.... tends to attract less people, I guess? That's just my opinion though.

I can see your point.

Because I'm used to gaming forums they're a fair bit more active I guess.
