Return flight from London to Morocco is under £40!

Then when I travel, I stay in hostels. First because a lot of them have awesome staff and its easy to meet other solo travelers (many of whom I've previously traveled onwards with, or become good friends), then second, because it's cheap and many of them have awesome atmospheres. This place is £4.77 a night as an example.

https://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetai ... kech/33753

In Thailand it was around £6-10 a night for a hostel. In India around £2-7 a night. I've never stayed in a place I've felt was unclean or unsafe & I've spent most of the last year and a half travelling.

So yeah, doesn't cost that much!

How do you get flights that cheap?

Yeah, RyanAir. It costs £10 from London to Essaouria normally but it went up a little bit because of Christmas.

I was correct about yesterday’s weather. Though an ice storm is kind of dangerous to travel in, it is pretty neat to see individual blades of grass covered in ice. :P

I've seen them have tickets to some places in France for €4.99 apiece (£4.25 or $5.50). It's madness.

My flights to El Paso have been a reminder how obesity is so prevalent.

Yep, they have a lot of £5 deals, they do right now!: https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/plan-trip ... nodlp.html

Aside from some little delays I've never really had an issue with them, either. I don't understand the hate they receive (well, they deserve criticism for their employment practices...) as long as you understand their baggage policy, everything will go smoothly. I think the problem is people don't understand their baggage policy as they're constantly changing it. Sadly they've just recently changed it so that buying their 'priority' baggage is pretty much mandatory now, I think its £6? Even a small-ish backpack would be classed as too big now which is pretty stupid.

But yeah, they have a lot of £5-10 flights to a lot of Europe as well which can be handy for getting cheap flights to the US or Asia, as often places like Berlin, Madrid or the Scandis can have significantly cheaper flights than London. Last year I realised the cheapest way to get to Thailand was a flight from Oslo (£115) with Norweigan Air (who are really good!), so I got a RyanAir flight to Oslo (£10), waited a few hours in the airport, then it was direct from Oslo all the way to Krabi (which was a tiny airport in Southern Thailand...it was quite wonderful landing in an international airport and being out 10 minutes later), so that worked out £125, which was a saving of about £200 :D

I'm always determined to try and get the cheapest flights anywhere I'm going. https://skiplagged.com/ is the best site for it for long haul and finding connections.

So I turned 36 recently. Does this make me a “daddy?” ;)

He he, that would be the precise argument why I refuse to call myself a daddy. I never have fathered children. And I didn't adopt any. I tried to adapt to something. :D

To rogonandi : 36 is pretty young. Age of the fair braves or so. Wasn't the gay daddy thing related to sort of 'sugar' someone anyway`?
Not including to sugar your man, that's just a respectable trait.

Depends, but most likely you've been a daddy for a bit now. Just my professional opinion :blargh: Being an awesome daddy takes aspiration and effort.

Besides why resist it. It's kind of an awesome time of life. Why not make good use of it.

I'm thinking of qualifying for and running in Mammoth Motocross this year. My understanding is that if your a vet my age it's easy to qualify for because they generally don't fill all the slots in that age bracket. It would be a cool way to put a wrapper on actual racing for me. After that I'd be content just attending practice laps and skip actual racing. Practice laps are dangerous enough.

I'm thinking of creating a thread just to highlight drag queens.
Drag is very prevalent in the gay world. But some either love it or hate it.
I'll start it but need some others to add as well. There are drag queens all over the world. And good one's too.
I doubt anyone here is interested in this. But please post if so.
If not i think I'll still create the thread and see what happens.

Not for me, thanks. No judgement on drag entertainers, but it really doesn't do anything for me. I can enjoy a good gender bending burlesque show once in a while, as long as it includes real singing rather than just lip synching. (Uggh — I hate lip synching.) Throw in some dancing, acrobatics, and comedy and we have a fun night's entertainment.
