What is your IQ?

Mine's 71 (WAIS4 testing). Apparently this is classified as being a 'moron'.

I scored 240 on your quiz, which apparently indicates a high average IQ of 120. Which seems fair enough. I’ll take that.

I would like it noted that when I come to power, putting those “which image fits into the empty slot” questions will be punishable by a severe birching.

IQ is a misused and flawed measure of intelligence, especially since there are multiple types of intelligences.

Sorry for my rather inappropriate responses. I’m obviously not in a particularly good mood today, which is really a bit of an understatement.

There’s always room to argue IQ may not measure intelligence; that since there’s multiple intelligences, there’s no reason why we should fixate so heavily on the g factor; and so on. But what I’d have a hard time doubting is the predictive success of the major IQ tests (WAIS included) in a wide variety of areas (academic achievement; employment; level of education; etc.)

[Edit] And for the record, when I took the WAIS two years ago, my full-scale IQ was deemed invalid owing to substantial performance variability across the indices. There was, for instance, a 50 point difference in my highest index score and the second highest.

Samesies. IQ 121-130 apparently. We'll from the Brain Trust. You'll get the coffee in, I'll clear both our schedules. We'll get a big whiteboard. We'll draw squiggly lines, all sorts of numbers, really big ones even. We'll have graphs for days. We'll find the answer that humankind has been seeking for the last century: We'll know exactly, to the nearest Planck, just how big of a dufus one has to be to believe the results of online I.Q. tests.

Also, no, I like the "which image questions" and am good at them. I'm like an idiot savant with those things. I can't explain my reasoning, I barely know why I know, but in the end, I know.

I think - you being provably the one with the brains - that when we get married, I’ll have to be the pretty bimbo. Which I’m ok with, I just want you to know why I immediately stop working and become a house husband.

I always imagined myself being the Igor to a Dr. Frankenstein. Or perhaps, more on character, the Riff Raff to an alarmingly attractive Tim Curry. Your arrangement could also work, however.

I'll in turn let you know that I'll be completely emotionally absent, and that all of your needs shall go unmet. We'll make a good show of it on the dinner party circuit, but we'll both know that the love is gone. I'll detest your friends, and you'll think all of mine are tres passé. We'll stare at each other over the breakfast bar and eggs benedict in silent hatred. I'll probably take up golfing. You'll take up morning drinking. You'll probably poison me after a particularly long bout of scowling. It'll be excellent.

Same. I was in a hurry, though.

I took a proper professionally supervised test once and got 132 (about 98th percentile). That was on almost no sleep, though.

Did you have the same problem? I didn’t sleep the night before my test!

As I recall, the test was in the morning and the previous night I'd been reading a thrilling novel, what would become one of my favourite books, and I couldn't put it down until like 4am and then I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about the story.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azerbaijan?

Hahaha! It was The Truth Machine, a fascinating book which I highly recommend (available as a free download), numismatist James L. Halperin's first foray into science fiction. It was the #2 best-selling book on Amazon at one point.

The sequel, The First Immortal (also a free download), is also excellent.
