I can’t figure out the second part and it’s killing me. Is it some variant of bone apple tea?

Re: What made you laugh today?
Anyone ever have those moments where you must have apparently impulse-bought something with a really long delivery time because by the time it arrives you just have no idea what it is or why you wanted it?
Cause I had one of those today.
So I now have a hanging wall-scroll thing of... some kind of old flag/coat of arms from I assume a European country. I was going through a phase of being really into reading about European history a while back.

I haven't had this happen. But I've heard stories of people winning eBay items they struggled to remember bidding on. (Possibly, in some case, a bid placed after drinking one too many...)

It's funny how common shower curtains are in North America... considering that in Europe (at least the parts I've lived in and holidayed in) they're basically a sign of poverty that you only see in cheap flats and such and people who aren't poor have glass shower screens/cubicles.

I hadn't thought of that... But I do think I mostly see curtains. And glass would be better in that it should be easier to keep clean.
My parents actually opted to get rid of glass doors in our house. Looking back, I almost wonder what were they thinking of? But they might have had some good reason. Not that it mattered much--the bathroom updating project was one of the many that my father never actually finished. We only had a bath tub, no shower, for probably the last 10 years or so that we lived in that house.

I don't think I've ever used a shower that didn't have a glass screen or glass door, now I think of it.

Re: What made you laugh today?
It was quite the culture shock for me when our king suite at our hotel near the US capital in March AND our boyfriend who has a good job both had only shower curtains.

That is an interesting cultural difference. Shower curtains are common throughout the US, including most hotels except the fanciest. My tub/shower at home has a sliding glass door, which I despise. The space is too narrow, and I expect to someday put an elbow through those doors. Eventually I will remove the old tub and doors, tile in a wider space with a small bench, and put in a half wall, maybe with glass blocks above.

My habit of random mindless shuffling of random orchestral soundtrack or showtunes playlists has turned my Spotify's 2020 summary into an absolute clusterfuck of nonsense.

Well, knowing as I do that that; a) the right hand side of the conversation is the first-person side, and b) imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I will take this compliment in the spirit in which it was extended.
Thank you, Erick.
