What made your day / made you smile today?

But that doesn’t even have a steam-powered massage function?

If I want a vibrating seat I can buy a vibrator and sit on it.

But you’ve got a bum phobia. An antique steam-powered massage chair is much better.

Do too. Your bum is the bumhole equivalent of Kate Bush, so infrequently is it seen that people question if it died.

Trust me the less my bum is seen, the better off society as a whole is.

Still need to get a more appropriate desk chair but fuck it, for now it works.
This is mine:

It is superb. Splurged a little, but I use it all the time, and my old cheap one from IKEA was hurting my back. This one is the most comfortable chair I've ever used.
The one I was looking at looks very similar, albeit cheaper.
Note that everything on mine is adjustable. Lumbar support (very important!!), headrest (up and down and rotate), armrests (adjustable in 3 dimensions — they actually rotate to different positions as well as going up, down, forward, backward if you want them to), etc.

I can’t imagine settling for a chair which didn’t have any steam-powered functionality. What squalor. Ewww.

Well normally I'd go to a shop that sells such chairs and try them out for comfort and quality but I can't do that so I'm kind of flying blind on this whole thing.
I haven't had to buy a desk chair in many a year.

Same when I got mine, so I just did a tonne of research and determined this one I got was the one to get.

I haven't, but I much prefer a crispy crêpe over a thick American-style pancake.

Re: What made your day / made you smile today?
After my weird night, I had a nice day. I rode my stationary bike for 30 minutes at lunch (reason #147 why I should always be able to work from home). We are not going to discuss why I don't do this every day.
The job change I was involved in the other day might turn into an opportunity for me as well. I am uncertain that this specific position is something I really want, but at the very least, it will help me move in the right direction.

My husband had a good birthday. I’m happy I went and put together the little party for the two of us.

My husband got the things I ordered for him for his birthday. It’s a cooker and accessories for it. I’m hoping he’ll cook some good stuff with it when I next go to the grocery store for ingredients.
