Me and my brother have recently been going through a weird kind of phase in the living together process where we just didn't want anything to do with each other, would actively avoid each other and just got pissed off at each other and argued about trivial shit a lot (though I maintain that if you do the washing up the plates should ideally be clean at the end of it, not still have bits sticking to them but whatever).

I guess it was just a carry-over from me being pissed off and stir crazy being stuck at home all day and him being pissed off at having to still go to work during this pandemic bullshit. But it had made living here feel really stressful and annoying.

But we seem to have gotten past it and we're on actual good terms again. The past few nights we've spent both hanging out in the living room together watching movies or playing video games. It's been actually nice to not hate the sight of him.

I mean, not consciously. I’m a very habitually commuter. I sit in the end carriage, i put my earphones in, I bury my head in the puzzles page of the newspaper to pass the time. On this occasion, I have somehow done so in a fashion as to be overtly homosexual and sexually alluring all at once.

I’ll have to make a mental note to ask about what it was I did on this occasion, because I’m as much at a loss as you clearly are as to how this happened. He’s not even a carbuncle, he’s quite easy on the eye.

I love living in Scotland. Still makes me smile when I say my Dutch surname, in the original Dutch pronunciation, and Scottish people just get it, without me needing to spell it out.

Lucky.

I don't think anyone I've ever met has been able to spell or pronounce my very German surname properly without being walked through it first.

I finally was able to get my new prescriptions today from the pharmacy! I shall soon be far less anxious than I usually am, or at least I hope I will be! I'm very, very much looking forward to that! It'll be a supreme relief!

Were you listening to Katy Perry and perhaps he noticed it on your phone?

I think I've finally stumbled across a delightfully inexpensive, yet wonderfully tasty, brand of vegan cheese!

Lil Nas X replying to the governor of South Dakota after she quoted scripture at him with a song lyric that describes cumming in a guy's mouth while riding his dick was pretty funny.

So all this hate started not even because of a raunchy song but because he released a pair of Satan-themed Nikes? Christ. The right has gone from clutching pearls to grasping at straws at this point.

I guess it was the combination of the Satanic shoes, the raunchy song, and the music video where he rides a stripper pole to hell and gives the devil a lap dance. The hate is interesting, though, very 2005, very nostalgic.

You got to hand it to Lil Nas. He manufactured this controversy and it worked perfectly. A true auteur.
