Physical labor of what sort?

Typical work day involves a lot of laundry and custodial chores, and walking about 12 km per day. I work at a hotel.

Eek! Doesn't sound particularly pleasant in any way. Though I suppose at least you get a good amount of exercise!

I love my job, but it’s not for everyone. :P

Well as long as you love it, then, I'm quite pleased with it! After all, it would be most unfortunate, and rather saddening, were it to turn out that you hated your job. So, again, I'm glad to know you don't! :)

Talking to a friend over the phone tonight. It made my week and I feel happier after having talked to him than I have in weeks, if not months. I feel rather silly saying that, but it's true.

I realize none of you are likely to understand what he's saying in the slightest, but the below is a passage from J.M.E. McTaggart's The Nature of Existence, which filled me with strength and needed comfort today. Here, he is giving one of a set of reasons why in absolute reality there shall not only be felt love by each person for everyone else, but also love of an intensity immensely greater than that felt now.

"For, fifthly, love in present experience can never keep permanently, or even for long together, at the highest intensity which it occasionally reaches. It cannot be permanently on that level, because the necessities of life compel us to turn our attention to other things besides loving our friends. Nor can it be on that level for long together, because the strain of intense love—of love which has to fight its way through its cognitional inadequacy—is such that it cannot endure for more than a brief period. But in timeless reality there is no change, and no weariness, and that which is highest can exist without ceasing. What this would mean, even if the highest were no higher than it is now, it is useless to try to say, except to those who do not need to be reminded of it."

A guy from my school days who I've had a crush on basically since before I knew I was gay, and who I've been speaking to on-and-off for years in conversations that pretty much always become about sex, today on Grindr sent me his dick pics.

I didn't ask for them. I was just complimenting his new main profile picture and he said thanks and followed it up with two of his cock. And oh my god it was definitely worth the wait to see it.

The only problem was I was at work and subsequently it's been all I've been able to think about all day.

Chatting with a friend, even if it has led to a bit of worrying and doubt, has made me very pleased and relieved.

I hadnt heard that one

I think the previous two are my favourites, a couple I like for comedy value.

Drink water and Saucin' for example.

But Dagothwave is probably the best.

I used to work in hospitality too and I can surely say it's the ultimate definition of: "You don't have to be crazy to work here, but it helps!"

It may be ‘rot in the sun’ hot out but there’s a healthy wind which makes it a lot less noticeable.

Trying something new with our boyfriend: a Netflix "watch party" (kept in sync automatically by a Chrome extension) with a simultaneous video call. We watched an episode of The IT Crowd and then kept videoing and chatted for a while. It was really nice. We're planning to do a movie in the weekend.

Makes him feel less far away. :keke:
