Awesome!

Wow, so they wait even longer between doses there than they do here! 16 weeks...

Here it's up to 12 weeks. I waited 10 weeks.

(10-11 weeks is optimal IIRC, at least for AstraZeneca.)

The one I got was Pfizer, and the shot site is actually pretty sore right now. I’m glad I have tomorrow off because I’m curious to see if there are other side effects.

AZ 2nd dose was rough for me (including a terrible headache), and both Pfizer doses had rather unpleasant side effects for Brenden and Shawn. Definitely a good idea to take some time off work.

Sidenote: best not to take any painkillers like paracetamol/acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin (or use the smallest amount possible as a last resort) as there is evidence from other vaccines that these can reduce resulting antibody levels.

David Archuleta, wee Archie to some, finally coming out as LGBTQIABCDEFG...+

Like a post-rave orgy, it's the G that counts here. Despite his protestations of bi/asexual feelings, we know that he made the right diagnosis when he told his family he was gay in 2014. The rest seems to be equivocation, doubts and struggling to find his place in the Mormon world (if he asked me it would be in the next "Missionary Boys" video underneath one of the hung and horny Latter Day twunks). I'm OK with that because he's slowly coming into his truth. The next step will be a quickie marriage to a low-level gay YouTube influencer, then it's a slow devolution into being the meth-addled celebrity courtesy bottom at bareback sex parties at motels on interstate routes leading to the state fairs he will play to fund his newfound drug and sex addictions brought on by making up for years of religious repression.

First I sent a CNN link of the glad news to my bi friend, who told me a dozen years ago that I was making everyone gay. "First it was Ricky Martin! Now David Archuleta? You probably think Elton John is gay." Not exactly what he said, but the general idea of his oblivion. I'm one Taylor Lautner rainbow-emoji-filled Instagram post away from winning a hundred bucks from him.

After that I knew I'd need to come here and post for old times' sake and pay tribute, for this has been a day that Pooler and I prophesied long ago on forums far, far away, in Archie tribute threads that — though apparently lost in the great expanses of the internet — live on fully in the minds and hearts of those who remember them, unsullied even by the presence of LostPainting's fawning effeminate devotion. Long live Archie (and many hopes that his anus remain no longer virginal in the wave of retweets and sexual offers he's about to endure)!

The below made me smile, but so too did talking to friends today (as I often do, and as often makes me smile).

I'm a total fool for any mention of love whatsoever, even if it's in a children's book :3

I got into a bit of a disagreement yesterday with one of my friends. I was worried it would lead to an end to our friendship, but it didn't because things were resolved today. I still feel badly over my part in the affair, since there were a couple of times when I said sarcastic, mean remarks. But I'm trying not to let that guilt weigh me down too greatly. In any case, I'm happy that the whole issue is behind us.

So I'm a Doctor Who nerd. I think this is well known by anyone who knows me.

A few years back the BBC started releasing the classic years of Doctor Who in blu ray box sets. At the time they only had 'limited edition' packaging to them. Of course I pre-ordered all of them as soon as available and by now have 9 of the 26 classic seasons in this format. But recently they've been re-releasing them in 'standard edition' packaging.

Now outside of the whole "they're blu ray now and I'm a pathetic Doctor Who nerd" thing my main reason for buying the box sets was to save shelf space. But the last few of them were so bloated with extra discs that a box set of 4 or 5 stories ended up taking up just as much space as the 4 or 5 individual DVDs that I had.

The standard edition blu ray box sets are way smaller, just in terms of packaging size. Smaller and, crucially, a lot thinner. For a while now I wanted to swap my Limited editions for standard ones but thought I'd be insane for buying this lot a third time.

But I've just bothered to work it out and because of the 'limited edition' nature of the versions I have, of the 5 that have been re-issued as standard, on 4 of them if I traded them in, I'd get more from selling them than their standard issue versions would cost.

I'd be in profit by doing this.

I am a happy Steven right now.

After finishing a project at home, and getting covered in sweat and sawdust in the process, I drove to a nearby lake and went for a long swim just before sunset. Summer bliss.

Think I've finally decided what language to learn and I think I'm gonna go with Dutch.

Easier than German but because of the closeness of the two if I want to learn German later or switch to it instead knowing Dutch would in theory make that transition easier.

Also does Renè speak Dutch or is that just a fact I've invented in my own head and have just been assuming is true all this time? :P
