I got my first COVID-19 vaccination today. The second one is at the end of September.

Awesome!

Wow, so they wait even longer between doses there than they do here! 16 weeks...

Here it's up to 12 weeks. I waited 10 weeks.

(10-11 weeks is optimal IIRC, at least for AstraZeneca.)

The one I got was Pfizer, and the shot site is actually pretty sore right now. I’m glad I have tomorrow off because I’m curious to see if there are other side effects.

AZ 2nd dose was rough for me (including a terrible headache), and both Pfizer doses had rather unpleasant side effects for Brenden and Shawn. Definitely a good idea to take some time off work.

Sidenote: best not to take any painkillers like paracetamol/acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin (or use the smallest amount possible as a last resort) as there is evidence from other vaccines that these can reduce resulting antibody levels.

^ Thank you for telling me that, Rene. I was actually thinking about taking something for it. :)

David Archuleta, wee Archie to some, finally coming out as LGBTQIABCDEFG...+

Like a post-rave orgy, it's the G that counts here. Despite his protestations of bi/asexual feelings, we know that he made the right diagnosis when he told his family he was gay in 2014. The rest seems to be equivocation, doubts and struggling to find his place in the Mormon world (if he asked me it would be in the next "Missionary Boys" video underneath one of the hung and horny Latter Day twunks). I'm OK with that because he's slowly coming into his truth. The next step will be a quickie marriage to a low-level gay YouTube influencer, then it's a slow devolution into being the meth-addled celebrity courtesy bottom at bareback sex parties at motels on interstate routes leading to the state fairs he will play to fund his newfound drug and sex addictions brought on by making up for years of religious repression.

First I sent a CNN link of the glad news to my bi friend, who told me a dozen years ago that I was making everyone gay. "First it was Ricky Martin! Now David Archuleta? You probably think Elton John is gay." Not exactly what he said, but the general idea of his oblivion. I'm one Taylor Lautner rainbow-emoji-filled Instagram post away from winning a hundred bucks from him.

After that I knew I'd need to come here and post for old times' sake and pay tribute, for this has been a day that Pooler and I prophesied long ago on forums far, far away, in Archie tribute threads that — though apparently lost in the great expanses of the internet — live on fully in the minds and hearts of those who remember them, unsullied even by the presence of LostPainting's fawning effeminate devotion. Long live Archie (and many hopes that his anus remain no longer virginal in the wave of retweets and sexual offers he's about to endure)!

The below made me smile, but so too did talking to friends today (as I often do, and as often makes me smile).

I'm a total fool for any mention of love whatsoever, even if it's in a children's book :3
