Wow, that’s impressive and you should be very proud of yourself! It feels great, doesn’t it?

Thank you!

It does feel good. I don’t get exhausted doing things like I use to. I can fit into clothes that’s not in the plus size section. Also, being on a med that one doctor at the hospital said I can’t because it risk me gaining weight and getting diabetes. Being on that med I’ve LOST the weight they thought I would gain. :) shows them assholes.

My husband bought me birthday presents and wrapped them. He’s using the same trick I do by wrapping them in cereal boxes so I will not be able to immediately figure out what they are. :shifty:

My husband bought me a Nintendo Switch. He eagerly allowed me to open my presents early. I got Smash, which I’ll have to buy a GameCube-esque controller for. I also got Pokémon Sword, which I’ll give a whirl as I do love Pokémon.

I won £80 on the lotto!

But when I got home, I found a letter from a baillif, I had apparantly forgotten to file some paperwork with the DVLA and long story short, I had a fine for £80.

I'd frame it more as the Universe having your back. It knew you'd be getting the letter, so it gave you the money needed for it so you wouldn't be hit by the fine.

Yeah, that is a much more positive way of looking at it. Thank you Brenden :keke:

Only in Wisconsin.....

Don't get me wrong, I love where I live, but sometimes I think, “only here”. We live in a suburb just outside of Milwaukee, maybe five miles. We call it the semi-fashionable village of Wauwatosa (wa-wa-tosa) very Native American. Today coming out of the grocery store came upon a familiar site. I love nature, wild life, but sometimes I'm amazed. Approaching my car in the parking-lot, I realized it was surrounded by a half dozen wild turkeys. Like I said this is not uncommon. I have had to stop in the middle of the road for raccoons, Mallard duck and their brood, turkey, coyote and deer. Coming across a deer crossing the interstate is not only deadly for the deer, but if you hit one does major damage to your car, trying to miss it could cause deadly harm to another car. So just be aware nature although beautiful can be very annoying.

Reading the happy posts above. :keke:

On a personal level, one thing that made me smile today was shopping for tasty affordable sugar-free stuff at the B&M next to the NHS vaccination centre in Lanark (occupying what was once a Poundland). Another was having had 5 vaccines in 21 hours and feeling totally fine, even though one of them was a Covid Pfizer booster.

My two AstraZeneca doses had way more side effects than these 5. :P

Swerving to avoid a deer is the #1 excuse for single vehicle accidents where I live, and the maximum speed here is 40mph (64 km/h). A recent virus (not covid) has wiped out a large part of the local deer population, so we will see if the insurance companies catch on. I almost hit one going high speed downhill on my bicycle once, and have so far avoided them with my car.

My latest smile came from the break between "atmospheric rivers" dumping record rainfall here. Every moment of sunshine is greatly appreciated. On the other hand, I could be planting salad greens since we also have way above normal temperatures for this time of year.
