What made your day / made you smile today?
Re: What made your day / made you smile today?
My friend Julia visited and it's always nice to see her, even if I do have trouble staying awake long enough to spend much of the day with her.

Listening to my favorite arias. It's like being wrapped in a nice, familiar, and cozy blanket! I just wish there were snow and a warm fire to go with it.

I had a pretty good work day today and I’m in hardly any head or leg pain at all.

Just the realization of how truly small the UK is. Apparently it could fit into the U.S. over 40 times. I mean, the area of Michigan is greater than that of the UK, it's insane!

Getting a haircut. I really had a messy mop going on and it just looks so much better.

Amidst all of the chaos of the world, and especially amidst the cruelties and evils I see perpetuated these days, I feel consoled today by my repeatedly returning to this line from one of Walt Whitman's poems: "[...] those who love each other shall become invincible." In my own thoughts I tend to remove it somewhat from the specific context of the poem in which it was written; but that's fine by me, I think, since it's still a fine bit of verse.

Michigan is about the size of England if you're only accounting for land. Among US states, only Alaska controls more water than Michigan!
Note also that Michigan is the largest state, both overall and only by land, East of the Mississippi!
If the UK were a US state it would be the 10th largest by land just behind Oregon.
And to put the UK into a perspective you might relate more to, you could fit 10 Marylands' worth of land into it.

Where did you get your statistic for Michigan from?

Re: What made your day / made you smile today?
I had really bad eye circles from ruined health for years. Couldn't figure out what vitamin i was lacking, & to confirm that i wasnt just imagining it & it wasnt a trick of the light, I asked someone in the same room as me what my eyes looked like and they said it looked like i was punched in both eyes
Anyways.. finally found the magic thing & theyre going away & now i don't look like im chronically ill anymore, it looked even worst because I'm fair skinned!. It made me so self conscious for soooo long & i was afraid to look at anyone directly in the face. I know this wasnt normal because i started developing them in my mid 20's already . They developed slowly over exercise obsession & eating salads. I excluded a lot of the important food groups because i thought i was just being healthy.

How am I supposed to remember that? Seeing as I can barely manage to remember anything in specific of what I did a few days ago, it can hardly be expected that I'd recall where I read about something as inconsequential as this (even if it was somewhat surprising).

I ordered Indian food to celebrate Mother's Day with Mary. She may not be my mother (and thankfully so), but a mother she still remains!

Re: What made your day / made you smile today?
I had a dream last night where my dog from growing up came to me and told me in her way that when I’m ready she will come for me and we’ll go to the forest.
I understand what the message was about and it did make me cry after I woke up.

Dr. Thomas bought the lie Mary came up with for me, which was that my internet connection went bad. So everything is alright now, it would seem. I didn't like lying to Dr. Thomas, of course; but I suppose it couldn't have been helped, seeing as it would've been a bit inappropriate to share with her all about my anxiety disorder.

I’m happy to see you guys figured it out.

I’m in a good mood because I found out that the day houseman will be doing the breakfast room work which frees up the evening guy (me) to do laundry. This works out great as I like laundry a lot and pretty much every one else doesn’t.
