You were always of value, even if you didn't realize it and still don't.

Thank you for your kind words. They make me smile. :3

Also I may have regained my ability to sit in a chair for more than a few minutes without nasty back pain. :thumbsupwink:

What have you been doing this whole time, then? Just standing or lying down? I thought the physician had prescribed you medication of some variety or another?

Also, for the record, what I said I didn't say out of kindness, but rather, I said it as a simple matter of fact.

I have been either standing or lying down this whole week as those cause me the least amount of pain. It would probably be even worse without the medication.

I still greatly appreciate your words in regards to the usefulness thing no matter why you said it though. :D

Aww, I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was that bad. I wish you'd gone to the physician sooner than you did!

Has your supervisor (if you've one of some sort or another) been gentle with you? Did you tell them as to your back pain?

My literature professor and her husband (also a professor) want to send me several books, which they think I'll find great enjoyment in reading. They insist on not telling me the books they have in mind, on keeping it all a surprise. God, I do adore the two of them!

Wow, I've had compliments from tutors before but that is next-level, haha
And completely deserved. You should feel very pleased indeed.

Yay! I hope it's a sustainable one, not one of those scary ones that get people addicted? 😅

Our nice neighbour, knowing Brenden is sick with Covid, brought some baked goodies over. Just had the lemon drizzle cake. Delicious

Met up with some friends today and really enjoyed the company. I definitely missed this during my last depression episode.

Glad to hear you're having a better time of things lately. Sorry by the way for not yet replying to your message. I've been dealing with my own depression these past couple of weeks, which hasn't been the slightest bit easy. I will eventually reply, by the way. I just need to work my way through a whole cartload of apathy, exhaustion, numbness, etc. So please don't think it's any reflection of my thoughts or feelings about you. :D

No worries. I understand that things happen so don't feel like you need to message me right away. Hoping the depression gets better soon.

It was basically just powerful analgesics and muscle relaxants. I didn’t get any pain relievers but didn’t ask for any either as it would only hurt when I was actually putting pressure on the nerve the inflamed muscle was on. If I wanted to get stoned I would just buy some edibles. ;)

What makes me happy today is that I can finally do computer work without hurting my back. Video games are fun but I’d rather do something a bit more creative.

I'm glad you're feeling better! Just have to point out analgesic and pain reliever are synonyms. ;) I'm guessing you meant e.g. anti-inflammatory or NSAID and opioid, respectively.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt as at peace as I felt today in Charlestown, St. Austell. It was such a lovely day in such a lovely spot that I was looking as property prices.

Aww, that's great! How are the prices?

The books my literature professor and her husband sent me arrived today. The two of them sent me a number of books, one of which was a print-copy of a journal volume in which her husband's father (yet another professor) had published an article on Erasmus. They also both wrote me little hand-written notes to go along with the books.

I adore the two of them, so, so much! They're simply so sweet and kind to me that I half feel I hardly deserve it. :keke:

I've sent them both a thank-you email, but I'm waiting to hear back since it's still early in the day.

One of my closest friends visited today. They moved to Spokane a couple of years ago to be near family. So it was really exciting that I got to see them while they were visiting our town.
