omg, I'm uploading them as soon as I repot them. So the closest shop sells them for half the size for $60 and these were twice the size for $19.

Brenden wrote:That all made you smile, Alex?

HAHAHA Brenden! Okay, I probably didn't communicate that very well. These flowers are for a very good price for the product. But furthermore, the year before the same store must have ordered too many, because there were pallets upon pallets sitting outside that stacked about 20 ft up and that was in July, way passed the planting season for where I live. So I'm guessing the store realized their mistake, and only ordered like 1-8 pallets instead of like 200 pallets this year.

So when I was at the store the week before I was told that they had a small shipment come in and they were all sold out. They also mentioned these magical ferns that everyone wanted. And Marm, is right, it was just like black friday. I didn't give a shit about ferns until they told me they were like the golden ticket of plants. So now I needed them too.

So, I go back the next week. Everyone tells me who is working there, they have no more plants that I'm looking for (the red plants and the ferns). So I say, oh well, I'll just get everything else I need. And then, then that's when we randomly spot the red flower plants in a rando aisle, and we were the first to spot it, and the guy took a knife and ripped off the plastic and gave us first dibs. Such a sweet guy. I felt so bad for him.

I'm going to take pics once they're all planted.

So it made me smile that I randomly got these plants. If I got to the store an hour earlier or later, I would not have had them. I could have gotten the same plants but they would have been half the size and 3xs the price.

EDIT: and in my first post about these majestic flowering plants I think I said I would knock someone out. I would never knock someone out over plants. I would probably just get really trashy and have some stern words for him.

AMD's new CPUs. This is such a leap forward at affordable prices that I think the time has finally come to replace our 5- and 8-year-old computers :D

A reply by someone on this forum in another post who is a total sweetheart and made me feel a lot better about things. :)

Also, can anyone point me in the right direction of seeing new notifications to posts? I think my email notifications get lost in a spam folder or something because I haven't been seeing them anymore. Trying to figure out if I can find them on here when I log in. Thanks!

We don't have a notification system besides the emails, but you can browse the topics you've posted in by clicking "Topics you've posted in" at the top of every page. That will load a list of all the topics that you've posted in, and show you which ones have new posts with little arrows next to the titles and highlighted icons (either of which you can click to get to the last post you haven't seen in that thread).

You can also see all the individual posts in which you've been quoted by clicking "Posts in which you were quoted".

And of course there's Active topics, which is very useful for seeing recent activity in general :)

You can also easily identify topics you've posted in by the big orange dots on the speech bubbles.

You may be able to teach your email service that our emails aren't unwanted by marking them as "Not spam".

Had a pretty good day at work. The kids did a better job transitioning back into class after a 3 day weekend than I thought they would. Was kind of a plus too that they were happy to see me :)

I've had an Oculus Quest for almost a week now (it's awesome BTW) and I've just tried some VR porn. Let's just say that it's better than what I expected. The 3D effect is really impressive and I've had the biggest urge to touch only to remember that I can't.
We do however need to find a way to properly map a 3d space. Because having the ability to walk around and choose your own angle would be just divine. Of course you could do that with animated porn already. But that's not my thing.

as a dishwasher of 7 years, even 452 seats (max capacity) full and limited dishes may be challenging but doable. with 30 total customers on my shift and a hands-off owner, i end up spending half my shift doing nothing lol.

we had probably 200 tonight, and i still had time to post here. :)

I gotta say I only ever did weekends nights and some holidays. At the Chinese restaurant So I was always busy. :)

But I spent the Chinese new year with them and we had mad respect for each other. The owner gave me a $50 tip and we all drank And hAd a feast it was awesome as someone who didn't celebrate that.

I really enjoyed working there. Even as a dishwasher.

we get $25 on our birthdays. we also have a christmas party with an open bar that i abuse plus another $50. and it almost makes up for a year of idiocy and incompetence at its finest.. but its my only job at 30hours.. (handyman jobs are rare for me simply because 30hrs is hard enough to manage)

but i always enjoy talking to people that have done the job. dishpigs rarely get the respect you got :)

Going into work and finding out I was working in the stock room instead of out on the shop floor in childrenswear.

Childrenswear is a messy floor, and loud with all the babies crying, on the best of days. On the run-up to Eid though? Fuck that, I'd rather shit in my hands and clap.

Deleted Facebook today. Legit, the only reason I’ve been keeping it is because I used it to register for a couple of things and didn’t want to re-register, but I can’t remember the last time I opened Facebook and felt anything positive for having done so.

I’m finally designing the first dungeon of the game. It’s a dynamic dungeon so it does change in various ways depending on the level of the characters. :glasses:
