Has anyone you guys know, either through the forum or elsewhere, randomly found you elsewhere online? I just randomly found not only an old comment of mine on Reddit but someone saying, “Oh no. Pooler’s on Reddit now.” That used to happen a bit with GTFers finding me on YouTube.

It’s at super short notice and it’s fucked up my whole schedule next week, but I’m super excited.

Awesome, good luck! I hope they make the sensible decision :D

What kind of work is it?

It’s a facilities and contracts management role, so not too dissimilar from what I do now, but it’s at a real London landmark site and seems part of a super involved team. Plus it’s in a much nicer location.

I took the new dirt bike to the track yesterday for the break in. After the break in routine, even during, I felt comfortable on it right out of the shoot. The guy buying my bike, a friend, noticed that as well. By the time the last moto I was dang near feeling 100% on it. Supposedly Yamahas don't corner very well. Well it did every thing I asked of it in the corners so I can't be any more please about that.

Here's what totally nailed it for me: As I sometimes do (ok often times) I go into corners a little over zealous. As much as I want to be a "smooth is fast" guy it's just me. I like charging the corners and letting it all hang out so to speak. So at one point I decided break-in was done and was time to try some WFO (wide fucking open) on the thing. I love when the front tire lifts when you do that exiting corners.

So I went into one corner way, way too hard. The best I can describe it is when it happened the new bike said to me "Hang on and don't worry, WE GOT THIS!". My 450 would have saud "prepare for ejection", LoL. After that not so graceful corner entry the suspension sucked up the impact and I just very happily went WFO. And yes, it was for a pass as well. Since I was doing the break in I was at that point on the last part - riding 80% when some douche didn't hold his line and ended up taking my line away. So actually it was a block pass I did on the guy in the next corner when I went to 100% of my riding.

The new bike is definitely a keeper. My 450 has a good home with a guy who rides "smooth is fast". I'm kinda happy to be rid of that bike because we just never jelled.

The Crystal Mine dungeon for Manjulias RPG has been designed, coded and play tested. Once I do one more testing I will be finished that dungeon and I’ll be able to move onto another game area. :)

Oh, and they were not failed attempts as much as a couple practice rounds.

An room at the Tropicana on the Las Vegas strip for $38/night. My company gets rather outrageous rates sometimes.

Sorry I missed this. Congratulations for sure. You only have to pass once. :)
You really get used to driving when it becomes a daily thing. Like most things the more you do it the more it becomes less eventful.

But the freedom of driving is something that will never go away. There's nothing like knowing you have the possibility to just drive as far as you want and forget everything else. It really opens up so many more possibilities.

While true, it also assumes you have your own car. At his stage of just getting a license he is likely using his parents car. All cool but when you get your very own set of wheels is when driving gives you that feeling much more.

Of course then there is the hassle and expense of owning your own car. It me it's going to be interesting how fast "car sharing" is going to spread from cities like SF to the suburbs.

Lostguy94, you have plans to get a car or already have one, what kind of car you want etc?

My last thought on this is that as a kid having your own car was the think. It elevated you on the social status ladder of a youth. I'm not so sure it is regarded the same way today.

Just spent the past 2 hour's creating a killer playlist for work. it's everything from Patsy Cline and Johnny cash all the way to Pantera and Slayer. I've been enjoying it. Just wish Spotify would randomize it more. It played 3 Korn songs within an hour. Considering there were only like 6 out of 400+. It doesn't seem so random. But it'll be okay for work.
