All these heated political discussions that have devolved into tactless attacks have made the forum more lively than any other time I can remember. It warms my heart. I’m so happy. :keke:

I got work done on the game and I got cleaning done with the apartment and lots of laundry completed on my two days off. It was all while hanging out with my husband in the festively decorated apartment. Such good times. :D

I won with 97 points in a game today with René’s sister and her husband, a game in which the top score in four-player matches is usually around 75. The second-place score (René’s) was 76. :D

Ordered!

And I found a 20% discount code worth £50 on this purchase, which was only valid because we happen to be buying two slightly different dining sets so we can mix and match (and then sell the other half). It’s like it was a double sign from the Universe that it was meant to be.

Can’t wait to play board games on it! :awesome:

Also, I just realised the irony that this will be our first purchase ever from Argos, which wasn’t even on our radar for a place to look for such things before a few weeks ago, as some of you will recall.

In front of the centre radiator, possibly on the rug that's there now. We moved the armchair in between the plant and my desk.

I was skeptical at first, but I think it'll work.

There's another version with 2 benches instead of 4 chairs, and what Brenden really wanted was 1 bench and 2 chairs, so we ordered one of both and will mix and match and sell the other mix-and-match set on, hopefully for a little profit thanks to the 20% discount we got :)

After work I went and got my husband some more Christmas presents, and then wrapped them to put under the tree. My wrapping abilities are slightly improving. :3

The ‘Genius’ at the Apple Store in Glasgow was so lovely to talk to. She agreed that a full clean restore would be very drastic and suggested I wait to see if the next update for iOS 13 fixes any of the issues before trying. Meanwhile, she’s taken a lot of notes about the bugs and will be submitting them to the engineers in California.

She said my iPad was the most organised one she’s ever encountered and said a clean restore wiping all my apps and folders would be a such a shame. I said regarding my iPad I wouldn’t much mind starting fresh, but my iPhone is a completely different matter.

In other news, I got a free doughnut from Tim Hortons today! They let me pick the most expensive one, even.

I was able to make a deposit to the bank without my debit card (I left it at home.) Because I had proper identification with me and I was with an actual teller. I was so sure I wasted a trip to the bank. :D

At my old credit union in Michigan anyone can make a deposit to any account with just the account number, and perhaps their own ID. It's not like someone would nefariously give you money.

I've also decided I'm going to keep the other bench from the one set, so we'll have a complete matching 6-person setup when we need it, and keep the bench in the hallway in the meantime:

Ok, you and René now have to sit down at opposite ends of the table like aristocrats for every single meal for the rest of time.

Do they also have to make passive aggressive remarks at each other like aristocrats too?
