I had an iPod that ended up in the water. I'll skip a bunch of the story as it should not have happened, was due to someone else's actions, etc. But... As it went into the water I was standing on the dock and reactions kicked in and I was able to snatch it before it sank to a depth to no longer be reclaimable. I set it aside waiting for it to dry out letting all know where were around "do not turn it on". Someone did. I seen the quick flash of the screen lighting up and then immediately went to dead. It was an iPod Nano 5th gen. It gave every appearance of being dead. I tried all the stuff to revive it like tossing it into a zip lock full of rice, etc. Finally just tossed it into some junk drawer. Years later I noticed it and tossed it on the charger for quite a while (days maybe weeks) and left it. When I turned it on it miraculously came to life, briefly. More charging/discharge cycles and it continued its progress of recovery. It basically works all the time but the back light only works intermittently. I remained an staunch iPod/iTunes user right up to the time I finally decided to just pay monthly for Spotify. I've owned a few of the Shuffles because you could waterproof them. When I wakeboard I'm always jamming to my own selection and I don't give a crap whats blaring over the boat's sound system. I've been listening to music while snow skiing for so long that I'm pretty sure without music my skiing abilities would be abysmal lol.

Using smile.amazon.co.uk, René and I have generated £18.75 for charities. Mainly Cancer Research UK (one of my favourite charities, not afraid to shamelessly fat shame) but recently Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (following René's brain haemorrhage I decided to change it over). It's not that much, but considering that using it is so effortless and doesn't increase the prices compared to regular Amazon, it means that much extra does some good!

Ohmygosh, I just saw the most attractive guy I've ever seen walking around Aldi with his (also attractive) girlfriend. Like, top-tier supermodel attractive. With the complete opposite of resting bitch face, like resting cool face or something. And an amazing radiant smile when he smiled at something his girlfriend said.

I'm definitely going cruising in Aldi tomorrow.

Earlier, I saw an older man I know. A couple of years ago, (not long after his wife died), he reconnected with a woman he knew when he was young. They started a relationship. I got to meet her today. The relationship is apparently working out, and I'm glad of that.

And I'm now gently sobbing because I don't have an Aldi where I can go to see attractive guys!

Their male cashiers and managers are usually way above average too. Not sure if it's the same in America.

Nah our aldi workers and shoppers are usually just normal everyday people. So no need to feel sad. Unless your missing out on seeing middle age women shopping for there families.
Aldi isnt really the place to go.
Also trader Joe's is the same exact store. Just one sells tobacco and aldis doesn't. So you may already have an aldis like store in your area

I think Scottish guys may also be more attractive than average in general, and combined with just slight discrimination in hiring you end up with an unexpected amount of eye candy :P

This is incredible. Nearly every foreign born person I've asked about this has told me that they think the Scots are all ugly goblin people. Funny ugly goblin people, but still. Then again, it was mostly Bulgarians, and they're pretty top tier.

One of my exes was Bulgarian, and she thought the same. Luckily, I have other talents. :oface:

You guys are just discovering that there are hot guys that make great "eye candy"? News flash, look up from the sidewalk when you walk. They are all over. LoL

There were a few at Hi Tops last night during the Super Bowl. The place was stupid crowded (an annoyance to me) but some eye candy was running around. I had a date so checking out the "eye candy" needed to be kept to an minimum. Then again, my guy is pretty damn cute.

Just got back from my first local Scottish National Party meeting. It was really lively! There were a shocking number of people there for such a small town. I've offered my services for doing any graphic design the local branch needs done, which they were grateful for since they don't really have anyone for that at the moment. :keke:

I guess were still locked out of our computers because im off tomorrow to.
I already told Them im off friday. So i got just one more day. Fingers crossed. I'd be cool with a random week off. Thank god for hacker's. Lol.

It's kinda fucked up cause our boss told us yesterday to call the callout/ plant closing line to see if were working and they didnt put a message on there. I was notified through co-workers. So im sure guys are gonna show up tomorrow. And i think thats fucked up for some guys.

But im happy to sleep in again. I got plenty of vacation/personal time.

A Garmin eTrex 10 handheld GNSS receiver (which I see has gone up for £83 to £90 now on Amazon). I can upload GPX waypoints to it to follow when I'm hillwalking and it can log my GPS tracks and upload to my favourite app Fog of World. It should have much better reception than my iPhone X, which is really shitty (as are most recent smartphones). Plus it's waterproof, which after my recent drenched hillwalk proves, is very important for outdoor activities here in Scotland.
