I'm actually... kind of in a good mood... I don't know how this is possible. I've been mostly in one all day, it's bizarre.

An old lady on the train really obviously sniffed me and said I smelled great.

What makes this even better, is that your sense of smell generally declines quite as you age. Thus, you must smell amazing! :P

Oh my gosh, I'm so happy!

My new Garmin eTrex wasn't reading the 8 GB microSD card I was trying to use with it (even though the card was being read via the device by my computer and the Garmin software), so I thought something was wrong with the device. To make matters worse, the Garmin software thought hey, look, there's a microSD card in the device, guess I'll delete all the maps on the device and shift them over to the SD card, which meant that after doing the map update I had no working maps on the device and I thought it would be broken like that forever. So all day I was frustrated and worried and dealing with Garmin support, who kept telling me that because I purchased the device second-hand and it was originally registered to someone else's email address, I wouldn't be able to restore the maps to it because they don't belong to me. They also seemed to imply they don't consider the device itself to belong to me either. :madred:

BUT, I ordered a new microSD card from Amazon with same-day delivery which arrived just before 10 pm and it worked! So now my device not only has the larger Garmin maps of Europe, but also the OpenTopoMaps of the British Isles which use OpenStreetMaps data — including data I've contributed myself. It's so cool to see stuff I've added to OSM on my device looking all professional. You can even do routing with the OSM-based OpenTopoMaps!

:awesome:

Spent the day casually abusing my brother's Google thing (I don't know what it's called but it's the thing you talk to like Amazon's Echo) by seeing how obscure and specific I can get with what music it can find on Spotify.

It uses his Spotify account to do it so his play history is going to look pretty weird right now, at least compared to how it usually looks.

The time for the walk has been moved back, so I can go! :awesome:

Hope the trains aren't delayed at all tomorrow. I only have a 9-minute margin at Waverley. :noes:

Popped out to the big Sainsbury’s from work today to grab some lunch, for the first time in my life spotted red wine in a 300ml can. Had to buy it, just to try it. Perfectly unremarkable, but very drinkable and liveable wine. Plus, very subtle branding. I’m drinking at my desk in the middle of the day and nobody is even batting an eye.

I climbed my first Corbett, the 841 m high Ben Vrackie, and did so in the snow and ice. It was exhilarating and I really felt like a mountaineer, using my ice axe to safely stabilise myself in the snow and on the slippery slopes, and at one point we had the opportunity to safely practice using the ice axe to halt a slide down the side of the mountain, so I learned a very important new skill for when hillwalking in winter conditions again.

Hahaha honey I’m home. Well I’m out the two hospital says from the last time I came in here. This one lasted 18 days I’m on the last resort med clozapine for this shit. If they said it didn’t help they’d wanna try ECT with the clozapine. Not sure how I feel about ECT. I’m alright non suicidal despite what I see and hear all the time.

I'm glad you're home and feeling relatively okay!

ECT can have some amazing results and can definitely work where medication alone has failed. If that's what it takes... I'd try to think positively about its potential. :)

Hmm... I rather wait until the clozapine kicks in before doing ECT. I know it’s gotten better over the years with ECT. When one thinks of ECT they think of movies and old days where they had shock therapy and stuff. I’m hoping clozapine works. I need a weekly blood works and getting weeks worth of meds for the next 6 months.

Guy I've been seriously crushing said he feels the same way. (I have a huge fear of rejection so I rarely make the first move) Don't know how it feels? Think teenage girl at a backstreet boys show. Lol.

Before that, my change in luck kicked off with finding $80 in my house that I forgot about a long time ago. I've also made it another day in having self control in my spending. (I've limited my spending to a set amount since I was going crazy with buying things I didn't use... Or need.)
