I don't think it's a realistic aim to make housing affordable in the face of extreme urbanization. Market forces will put enough upwards pressure on wages to ensure that people can just barely afford to work there. Beyond that, you're left with a set of bad options.

But rather than implementing price controls and locking things in place, you could try to reinforce that upwards pressure. Raise the minimum wage, scale property taxes, build transportation infrastructure. All the standard junk.

I swear, whoever Next has manufacture their clothing just cuts the patterns by eye. Probably whilst drunk. I don’t know why I keep going in there.

I decided to grab a couple of cheapish white shirts for work, you know, the sort you’re not too bothered if they get ruined. I bought two. Same style, same shelf, labelled as the same size. One fits, the other one has a collar easily a full inch and a half bigger. How? M&S have never done this to me. I’ve had the same sort of issue with their jeans in the past too. Sort yourselves out, Next.

That's a shame. I've always really liked Next's styles.

As someone who used to work for Next for 4 hellish years, everyone is best served avoiding them and letting their hideous company crumble into the fucking dust to be swept away by the uncaring tide of history.

Nothing really pisses me off.

I just feel there are some category of men who identify themselves by their skin colour and feel the need to speak on behalf of everyone else. They started WW1, WW2, Cold war, more wars and guess what...they were even the first group of people to use nuclear weapons and have the nerve to lecture other countries have nuclear disarmament.

Being stopped by an enforcement officer outside Doncaster Rail Station insinuating that I had been smoking where I shouldn't have, suggested I had the smell of smoke on me which is probably because I briefly stopped in a area where people tend to smoke especially on days like today when it's pissing down. Funny thing is, never smoked in my life... being the awkward autistic sod that I am did not help me convince her of my innocence

The following story may disturb sensitive viewers...

[Reveal] Spoiler:
Seeing CCTV footage on Facebook of a hijacking at 5:30 in the morning in Johannesburg. It was not a high-end vehicle at all! Four men surrounded the vehicle and they shot the woman in the head, threw her body out the car and left it in the middle of the road. The footage shows two other vehicles in the area during the whole encounter, before she was fatally shot, who just fled as fast as they could while the woman was being attacked. Worst of all is that they found the car abandoned an hour later - the woman lost her life for nothing! :flame:
The height of irony and sadness is that she worked in an administrative position for an emergency response company. These cowards truly deserve every misfortune and eternal judgement that will befall them!!!
My heart truly breaks for her family, especially during this time of year

Wtf...

Fashion shows now feature social media influencers and children of celebrities instead of actual models. -_-

[Edit: It seems Dolce & Gabbana learned their lesson and reverted back to models this year.]

Also, it’s amazing how a suit or tux can transform a douche into a beautifully dapper and sophisticated gentleman.

A well made, well fitted suit is a magical object that every man should own. It baffles me how many people I meet that just don’t buy them anymore.

Depends upon how much use you have for one. For me, an actual suit would be actually be looked down upon at work. When the occasion requires me to be dressed more presentable a sharp looking sport coat, shirt, tie along with quality slacks it what's expected and how I dress for the occasion. I might as well play up to the expectation. I can engage with a rather high ranking person and as I said, that would still be the expectation. When said customer wants to talk to a "suit" we have those people too. TBH most of my customers could give a crap how I dress. My best customers have been the ones that I visited in tee shirts and jeans.

BTW my sport coat is pretty sharp fitting - literally. It's a slim fit. Me!@? I almost died the day I tried it on thinking "no way". I even verified with the sales person that it actually fit because I still didn't believe it. Yeah, no way I was leaving the store without it.

I think he would need the belt after having worked out a bit overly, eh? Else it would all sag by nature, as fit body will reduce muscle when overstressed.

I kind of miss that sagger baggy look. It was much fun to see them trip, stumble and plunge over their skateboards. I guess they hit the floor and collected scars, lost teeth too often, until they found out there were stretch slim fit jeans. :)

Faith in humanity would be a tough one with all the right wing shyte going on. Not just over here, also Poland and Brazil. I was hoping so much that there would be something like an ethics evolution, and with this it seems to go all roll back or something. I fear for those that are living out. They'll be the first to suffer if things go to pot. So I hope I'm just a fear driven pessimist on this.

Great. Not even vegans are spared. I guess we’ll just need to genetically engineer all our food to remove any pain or distress in them. And our lawns. Ugh. It’s like nature was created by René to satiate his sadism.
