What pissed you off and made you lose your faith in humanity today?

Talk about anything and everything.

Ugggh. My echo dot starts randomly playing music throughout the day. I tried doing a master reset and it hasn’t fixed the issue. I don’t know what to do.
Blow: "Nowadays even Liam can release an album of his screechy vocals and it'll probably go #1..."
Ramzus: I can admit that I'm horny just about 24/7
homomorphism: I used to not think your name was deshay and that Erick was just being racist
Hunter: sometimes I think I was literally born to be a pornstar

That seems to be a common problem. I'm hearing through the grapevine that if you open the Alexa app and go to settings, you’ll be able to see the history and see what command the Echo thought it received.

Reminds me of when I was in the middle of getting the kids ready for school and the auto book my stepmom make me order “50 shades of gray” I got her a while back started reading sex stuff out loud while the kids hear it.

Damn it. I deleted the entire history. -_-

This has transcended the frown thread. If reports are to be believed, some arch companies have been poaching work from companies who've pulled their staff from sites.

Unbelievable.

I didn't realise digging up old teapots was such a cut-throat industry.

You've no idea. Undercutting and shady business is practically endemic. :shake:

There's actually some money in it. Archaeology is formally part of the UK's planning system, so all ground breaking works have some element of archaeological oversight at least, and sometimes excavation funded by the developer.

But that money doesn't really translate into wages. One of the most poorly renumerated degrees, and the most poorly paid construction worker.

We're doing shifts at work to avoid having more than 5 people in the office at a time. I got the 6am-noon shift. I'm going to bring a pillow and sleep under my desk.

Because your spreadsheets are handcrafted bespoke pieces requiring production on premises? Like how the fuck is your job not something that can go remote?

Hell yeah, they're bespoke as fuck. But the reason we can't work remotely is because they can't get the VPN set up, and up until now they never wanted one. We struggle with IT under the best of circumstances.

I actually am somewhat hamstrung without a printer, scanner, and notary public, but I don't hold myself in such high regard that I agree with the governor designating my job "essential". I would feel pretty shitty if I spread a disease because I just had to come in to the office to work for one hour and then browse reddit for five.

Huh, you're really undermining the faith I definitely had in our political response to this crisis.

The American workforce is a shitshow. You'll find out when you join it someday.

I suppose I should count myself lucky I haven't suffered any loss of income. Lots of people are in a precarious position.

I know. I might be a trust-fund twink without a trust fund at the end of this. Shit's getting real.

I'm not even sure you're a twink anymore. You're whatever twinks become in their late 20s.

That's a fair point.

Every so often on Grindr I find the profile of a garish thirty-something claiming twinkhood, and I just think oh no no no sir.

In my defense, the appellation was not originally self-assigned.

It doesn't matter if you're a twink, a bear, an otter, a daddy, or a piss pig sub. All that matters... is that you're my friend.
