What pissed you off and made you lose your faith in humanity today?

Talk about anything and everything.

Safe to say I really hate what this country seems to be turning into over the past decade.

Yeah, I just saw that.

We have got to the point where politicians are comfortable calling each other scum and vermin.

That kind of tone can lead people to believe that, waltzing up to MP's and giving them the shiv, is in keeping with political discourse.

Pretty sure I read about on the BBC news site - there was a mention about MPs meeting with constituents with mental health issues - wasn't sure if that was a general, like duh, statement or a hint how this is going to shake out.

Given the tenor of our political discourse over here of late, I'm amazed we haven't had more of this sort of thing. However, I guess the feds are going to start investigating threats made against all sorts of elected officials, not just those who head to DC. Seems everyone from members of local school and parks boards on up are getting lots of nasty and threatening communications on all channels available.

So, it's not just you guys - we're in a period of instability. Global mental instability, that is. :argh:

I'll wait to see what is actually said in official statements I think, it would be too easy to rush to assumptions. Could be anything these days.

I've actually seen some stuff online that suggests that rural communities are convinced you guys are heading towards a civil war  I'm sure it's just talk, but apparantly weapon and ammunition stock piling has become quite popular, I mean more so than usual, anyway.

Crazy indeed.

not really sure what to make of all this, but I don't discount it. I mean if they really do believe that a vaccine used by millions effectively will make your dick fall off, is it any stretch to think that reports of the UN suppressing our democracy, the Deep State stealing elections so, Joe Biden can come for your guns, and the election was stolen ... I mean, people really believe this shit they read online. And then there are the people ON BOTH SIDES who want to overthrow the current system by whatever means are necessary to implement their new, improved (gay state) system. Again, its one of the big reasons I'm surprised more of this hasn't been happening. So far just threats and rhetoric - well, besides 6 Jan and some localized mini-insurrections that fizzled out even faster.

I made a mistake at work and lended out amenities and did favours for a group that wasn’t allowed to have them in writing. I didn’t know this and they lied to me by omission about it. Not only will I possibly get in big trouble over it, but I was taken advantage of by a group I originally thought was pretty good.

I’m so disappointed, and angry; this is how prejudice gets born. :madred:

Tablecloths for the meeting room they rented out. They knew they weren’t allowed to use ours, but I didn’t at the time. They asked me to get them some which I obliged because I thought it was a harmless request. However if I had known that they weren’t allowed to use them I never would have brought them out for them. :(

Why were they forbidden from using tablecloths? Did they soil them in unspeakable fashion on their last visit? What did they do to them this time? :noes:

^ I think it has more to do with how they like to test the limits of what they can or cannot do. Yesterday they overloaded the power circuit for the meeting room twice, and the day before a group of 30 or so came into our laundry room to wash up in front of me because the bathrooms upstairs are too far away.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s sounding less like the group are a nightmare, more that they’re persisting with a shit venue for reasons that aren’t clear.

If I was responsible for booking a corporate venue and the one I chose wouldn’t give me any table cloths - at least not without apparently renting them at an additional day rate - and the meeting room couldn’t handle the people using it having laptops, I’d be asking for my money back.
