I'm sorry you're losing a dear pet so suddenly.

I'm also sorry I'm losing the easiest way to make fun of you.

You can do better. You just have to be willing to go after my actual insecurities.

I brought her to an emergency vet to be put down. I don't really have anywhere to put her but my mom let me bury her in her little backyard pet sematary.

Are you going to give it a tombstone?

Here’s one you can use as a blueprint:

Image
Blow: "Nowadays even Liam can release an album of his screechy vocals and it'll probably go #1..."
Ramzus: I can admit that I'm horny just about 24/7
homomorphism: I used to not think your name was deshay and that Erick was just being racist
Hunter: sometimes I think I was literally born to be a pornstar

The fact that the NBA League Pass service isn't available on PS4 in the UK so I can't just sit back in bed and watch basketball on my TV.

Jesus Christ the weather was bad today. Wind broke our tool tent, river running through my excavation, GPS equipment water damaged, several rollies ruined only half smoked... Terrible day. Hoping it's better tomorrow, otherwise I'm ragequitting and becoming a used car salesman.

It hit Brenden and me too, only we were on a boat in the Irish Sea. The swaying was insane.

I really enjoyed the swaying, but the rain in Glasgow this morning was crazy.

I was in the same rough area. West coast, near Ailsa Craig. Hope you didn't get too seasick. I almost certainly would have hurled.

I really think I ought to have joined the navy. I loved the swaying and found it soothing and not that difficult to walk.

I was nowhere as interesting as out at sea but I got the shit whipped out of me by the weather this morning on a trip to the garage for food. The wind was pelting the rain literally totally sideways and I had to walk right into it to get where I was going. So that was fun.

Feel for you. You'd think they would call it off with the weather being that bad! I don't see how you can dig or excavate with the rain that bad.

It's pretty difficult to do. Ideally, you shouldn't excavate in heavy rain, since you need clean sections and such to get the info, but time constraints are always there, so often we excavate in poor conditions. In the two years I've been doing the job, I've only been rained off twice: once because the wind was strong enough to blow over the very expensive robotic surveying kit; and once when the site was literally hit by lightning.

Lost one of my days off work so it’ll be a six day week this week. It also means that I’ll have to do the errands on my one day off.

The silver lining is that it’s easier to keep to weight loss.

A fair while back I went through the unnecessarily Herculean task of converting all my Doctor Who audio drama CDs into digital format to store them on my laptop rather than keep my shelves cluttered with CDs.

Then my laptop's battery decided to die on me.

So I got a new laptop. And I finally decided to get round to transferring said audio files, all like 17GB of them, across to my new laptop.

But because my old laptop is dead I have to have it constantly plugged into the mains for it to be able to work. Usually this works fine. But because the old laptop is a 12" Macbook in order to plug my newly-acquired external hard-drive into it, I need to use one of these bastards to do it:

And for reasons unknown, despite still turning on when plugged directly into the mains, when the mains charger is routed through this thing... the laptop doesn't turn on properly. It just straight-up doesn't.

So now I have no way of getting my Doctor Who stuff from my old laptop to my current one. And I really, really don't want to have to go through the process of manually converting all the bloody CDs again because that was literally torture and took days off my life.
